Four more resorts have shared their plans for Christmas and New Year 2026–27. Here is what each one is doing, and who it suits.

Grand Park Kodhipparu: a first Thanksgiving, and a new sound bath

Grand Park Kodhipparu calls its season Celebration of Light & Lagoon, with festive dining, family moments and island celebrations running from Thanksgiving through Christmas, New Year and the Orthodox festive period.

This is the first year the resort is marking Thanksgiving, with a special celebration at FireDOOR, its overwater restaurant. There is also a new Crystal Sound Bath, a wellbeing session using crystal singing bowls, designed for deep relaxation.

What it means for your stay: Kodhipparu is 20 minutes by speedboat from Velana International Airport, with no seaplane or domestic flight. That takes a lot of the stress out of a short festive trip, especially with children.

Coco Bodu Hithi: Island Glow

From 22 December 2026 to 7 January 2027, Coco Bodu Hithi runs Island Glow: the annual festive tree lighting, sunset cruises, Maldivian experiences, Coco Spa rituals and activities for children, building up to a New Year's Eve gala dinner and a midnight countdown.

Who it suits: couples who want a proper celebration, and families, since children have their own activities.

Pullman Maldives Maamutaa: Christmas in the sun, an ocean-themed New Year

Pullman Maldives Maamutaa, in Gaafu Alifu Atoll in the far south, is planning a Sun-Kissed Christmas followed by a Maldivian Ocean Fantasy New Year, a marine-themed celebration to welcome 2027. The resort has a full daily activity calendar for the season, and we can send it to you with your costing.

Niva Dhigali Maldives: evenings on the beach

Niva Dhigali Maldives in Raa Atoll is promising Christmas tree lights, long evenings by the ocean, and music and fire to close the year.

If you have stayed with Niva before, note that Versa Hospitality, the group behind the resort, launches a loyalty programme called Versa Keys on 1 October 2026 to reward repeat guests across its resorts.

Book the festive weeks early

Christmas and New Year are the busiest weeks of the Maldives year, and the best villas go first. Many resorts also add a compulsory gala dinner charge on Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve, which changes the total, so we always check it before we quote.
