Two more resorts have shared their Christmas and New Year plans. Emerald Faarufushi Resort & Spa in Raa Atoll runs its festive programme from 22 December 2026 to 7 January 2027. Amilla Maldives in Baa Atoll runs "Under the Sea" from 22 December 2026 to 6 January 2027.

The programme brings Christmas traditions, festive dining, activities for guests of all ages and wellness sessions, building up to a New Year's Eve celebration to welcome 2027.
Amilla Maldives
This year's theme is "Under the Sea", inspired by the marine world around the island. Expect Christmas and New Year dining, ocean-themed celebrations, activities for younger guests, family experiences and entertainment through the season.
Who this suits
Both programmes suit families travelling over the school holidays, since each includes activities for children. Couples after a quieter break may prefer dates just outside the festive window.
What it means for your stay
The festive weeks are the busiest of the Maldives year, and villas go early.
