For travel agents
Your Maldives desk
You sell the world. We sell one country. Send us the enquiry and you get a costed shortlist back, transfers inside the number, ready to go out under your own name at your own price.
Your client stays yours
We do not take a direct booking from a client you have introduced. Not while the trip is live, not after they come home, not in three years when they want to go back. If they write to us themselves, we send them to you.
Vouchers go out branded 360 Degree World as standard. If you would rather your client never saw our name on anything, ask and we will white-label the documentation.
What we do for you
Three things, and they are the three that cost a generalist agent the most time on a Maldives file.
We cost it properly, first time
Room, board, transfer, green tax, service charge and GST in one figure. Not a room rate with four surprises behind it. If a resort charges a compulsory festive dinner on 24 or 31 December, that is in the quote, not in the invoice.
We check the transfer against the flight
Send us the actual flight number, not just the date. Seaplanes fly in daylight only, and a client who lands too late at Velana sleeps in Malé instead of on the island. We would rather move the resort than let that happen on your booking.
We tell you which island will generate the complaint
We rate every house reef on our own one-to-five scale and publish it, including the low scores. We will also tell you about the sandflies, the long walk to the water villas, and the à la carte venue that is not in the all-inclusive.
What we don't do
Read this before you send the first enquiry. It saves a phone call later.
- We do not contact your client. Set out above, and it does not have exceptions.
- There is no login, no API and no live inventory. Every quote is written by Pranjal or Amosha. Slower than a B2B portal and more accurate than one.
- We do not book flights, international or domestic. The air ticket is yours, and so is whatever you make on it.
- We do not book the transfer either, and nor can anyone else. Every Maldives transfer, speedboat, seaplane or domestic flight, is booked by the resort itself. No third party is permitted to book them. What we do is cost the transfer into your quote, check it against your client's inbound arrival, and request it with the resort as part of the booking. That is the part that goes wrong, and it is the part we watch.
- We are not a ground handler. We travel to the Maldives together and inspect the islands we sell. We are an Indian operator with direct rate agreements, not a DMC with staff at the airport.
- We are not exclusive to any hotel group. If a resort is wrong for your client we will say so, including resorts we sell.
- We will not always be the cheapest. On a big-brand week with an aggressive online rate, sometimes we cannot match it. We will say so rather than quietly quote high.
What we need to quote
Most quotes come back slowly because the brief was thin. Send these seven things and you will usually have a shortlist without a single follow-up question.
Travel dates and number of nights
Approximate is fine at first pass.
Adults, and each child's exact age on the date of travel
Maldives child policies turn on age at travel, not age at booking, and the bands change at 2, 6, 12 and 16, differently at every resort. A child who turns twelve mid-stay changes the price.
Departure city, and the flight number if it is booked
This decides which resorts are reachable the same day. If the flight is not booked yet, say so, because sometimes the flight should be chosen around the resort.
Board basis wanted
BB, HB, FB or AI. If the client has said "all-inclusive" without knowing what that means at a given property, flag it and we will explain the difference.
Villa type and budget
Beach or water, with or without a private pool, and a land-only budget for the party. Say whether that figure is meant to include transfers. It usually should.
Occasion, and the wedding date if it is a honeymoon
Honeymoon benefits are discretionary at most properties and usually need a marriage certificate dated inside a set window.
Dietary requirements
Jain, pure vegetarian, halal, no onion or garlic. This narrows the shortlist more than people expect and is far better handled now than on arrival.
The flight number is not a formality. Seaplanes fly in daylight only. A client landing at Velana late in the afternoon for a Baa or Raa Atoll resort is spending the night in Malé at their own cost, and you are the one explaining it. We check it before we quote so you never have to.
How a booking runs
You send the brief
WhatsApp or email, whichever suits you.
You get three to five costed options
Usually the same day, sometimes within minutes if the resort's rate is already with us. Rarely more than one working day. Each option carries the atoll, the transfer type and journey time, the board code, what that board actually excludes, and a total. Where a resort is a poor fit for the brief, we say why rather than padding the list.
You price it and send it on
Under your own letterhead, in your own format, at your own selling price.
You confirm and we hold it
Well outside the cancellation window we can usually hold a room for about 24 hours. Inside it, the hold is the resort's to give, and sometimes they will not. We will tell you which situation you are in.
We run the file until they fly home
Resort correspondence, transfer arrangements with the property, honeymoon amenities, date changes, and the awkward call to reservations when something needs fixing. If their inbound flight moves and it breaks a seaplane cut-off, you hear from us before they do. Your client calls you, you call us, at any hour.
How payment works
Every booking is prepaid in full. There is no credit line, for anyone.
Deposit and balance dates follow the resort's own policy rather than a house schedule, so they vary by property and by season. They go out in writing with every quote, before you commit to anything.
Cancellation and amendment terms are the resort's, passed through unchanged. We do not add a layer of our own on top.
We raise a proforma invoice in US dollars. Once payment is complete we convert it to an INR invoice, at the exchange rate applied on the day the money moved, so the rupee figure on your books is the rupee figure you actually paid, not an estimate struck weeks earlier.
TCS on the package is collected and deposited by you. We need a copy of the deposit as part of the file.
Six things that catch agents out on a Maldives file
Not sales copy. These are the ones that turn into a refund conversation.
| The trap | What to do about it |
|---|---|
| The seaplane daylight window | Seaplanes do not fly after dark. A client landing at Velana late in the afternoon may not reach a seaplane resort the same day, and pays for a Malé hotel plus a lost resort night. Check the arrival time before you promise an island, not after. |
| "All-inclusive" is not one thing | At one resort it covers every restaurant and branded spirits. At another it covers one buffet, house pours and nothing else, with the two restaurants your client saw on Instagram charged à la carte. Get the exclusions in writing before you quote. |
| Green tax is per person, per night | USD 12 per person per night at resorts, charged on children as well as adults. Infants under two are exempt. It is frequently quoted outside the room rate, so check whether the figure in front of you includes it. |
| Service charge and GST | The Maldives adds a service charge and goods and services tax on top of the room and meal plan. On a long stay that is not a rounding error. Ask whether the rate you have is gross or net of both before you add your margin. |
| The transfer is a major line, not an extra | Priced per adult, usually as a return, and it runs from a modest speedboat fare to more than a domestic airfare for a far-atoll seaplane. Two clients with the same villa and the same board can be several hundred dollars apart on transfer alone. Only the resort can book it, so it has to be right at the point of confirmation. |
| TCS on the package | From 1 April 2026 an overseas tour programme package attracts TCS from the first rupee, with no threshold. On an agent booking you collect and deposit it, and we will need a copy for the file. Settle the treatment with your own accountant before you raise the invoice. We are not tax advisers and will not pretend to be. |
Tax rates and transfer costs move. Anything above is checked when we quote you, and the quote is what governs.
Who this isn't for
If you need instant confirmation at two in the morning from a booking engine, we are the wrong supplier and you should use a portal. Same if you are placing very high volume and need allocation held on standby, or if your client wants a flight-only deal with the room booked separately.
We will also lose to a bedbank on price often enough, and we would rather say so than shade a transfer cost to win the line. And if you are looking to hand a booking over and step out of it entirely, we are the wrong desk. This only works if you stay the client's point of contact.
We are two people who answer during working hours and write every quote by hand. That suits an agent with a handful of Maldives files a year who wants each one to be right. It does not suit an agent who wants a hundred instant confirmations a month.
We still send a lot of agents' clients to these islands. We just want you to know what you are buying from us.
Questions agents ask us
Will you approach my client directly?
No, and there is no time limit on that. We do not contact your traveller before, during or after the trip unless you ask us to. If they approach us themselves, in this booking or years later, we send them back to you. Vouchers and resort correspondence go to you, branded to us as standard or white-labelled on request.
How long does a quote take?
Most come back the same day, and sometimes within minutes where the resort's rate is already with us. Complicated files, split stays across two islands, or festive dates needing a resort to confirm a supplement take longer, but rarely more than one working day. We tell you which kind you have sent early.
How do I pay, and in what currency?
Full prepayment, no credit. The proforma is in US dollars; once payment completes we issue an INR invoice at the exchange rate applied on the day you paid. Deposit and balance dates follow the resort's own policy, so they vary, and they are in writing with every quote.
Can I book any resort, or only the ones on your site?
The resorts costed and live on this site are the fastest to quote, and the list grows most weeks. We can price properties across the Maldives on request. Where we do not hold a direct agreement we will say so, and the rate may be less competitive than one where we do. A small number of properties we cannot sell to the trade at all, and we will tell you that immediately rather than let you wait on a quote.
Who books the transfer?
The resort does, always. Speedboat, seaplane or domestic flight, a Maldives resort transfer can only be booked by the property itself. No operator or agent can book one directly, whatever they tell you. What we do is cost it into the quote, check the timings against your client's inbound flight, and request it with the resort at confirmation.
What happens if something goes wrong while my client is there?
Your client calls you, which is how most agents want it. You call us, at any hour. We deal with the resort and come back to you with options. We keep a named contact at most properties we sell rather than a general reservations inbox, which is the difference between a fix in an hour and a fix in three days.
Send us one live enquiry and see what comes back
The fastest way to judge us is to give us something real. Send a file you are working on now, with dates, pax and ages, board and budget band, and you get three to five costed options with transfers inside the number, usually the same day. No account to open, no minimum, no registration. If we are not better than what you have, you have lost twenty minutes.
