We were a big family of 10 and booked 5 beach villas for the first 3 nights and water villas for the last night. Everyone is very helpful, villas are cleaned numerous times, and they even made rasam and sambar for my parents. Special mention to Ibrahim, Manu and Rajesh from the Lagoon restaurant for taking very good care of us. We did the snorkelling with sharks with Ray and house reef excursion with Afroz — both were very good guides. The resort is better than the images on their website.
The family and I, and the group we went with had a fantastic time! It was a very good first time experience worth coming back to. Glory made sure we were well attended to and was always available to assist us.
I had a wonderful experience in Maldives. Our host, Glory, took great care of us. She provided all the information we needed and was easily accessible. She also takes great photos! The resort is near the airport — only 15 mins via speedboat. The property is massive and our rooms were renovated and clean.
It was an amazing experience, lovely place, very clean and represents high maintenance. Additionally I want to share that our host Mariyam was amazing, very helpful and a very sweet and warm person. Thank you so much for your guidance and for sure we will visit Villa Nautica again.
Little or nothing to snorkel off the beach. Some islands in this band run a free boat to a reef — the note below says whether this one does.
Not a continuous reef. Clusters of rock and coral in a shallow lagoon where the fish gather, which is honestly a decent place to learn. Blacktips, stingrays and good fish life are common, and there is a drop-off for divers. Reports vary a lot depending on which patch you find, so ask the water sports desk on day one rather than swimming out and hoping. Fifteen minutes from Male means boat and seaplane traffic, which you will notice. Excursions run through one operator and are not cheap.
Transfers run around the clock, so a late landing does not cost you a night in Malé.
