What Our Guests Say

Rated Travellers' Choice on TripAdvisor

It's great!

Great hotel! The island is very green, twice a day it is cultivated for mosquitoes, so in 13 days of stay we hardly met them. Excellent room service — special thanks to ASHFAAN for the wonderful towel figures every day! Great reception, thank you to Buck for her attention and willingness to solve any problem! The food and restaurants are just great — varied, very delicious, the cooking is super! Excellent service at restaurants, especially MAUCH! The beach is cleaned all the time, the ocean entry is very good. Special thanks to SYMON for the beach service.

A beautiful property with awesome staff

Le Méridien is a stunning property, just a 30-minute seaplane ride from Malé airport. From the moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and guided us to the lounge. The overwater villa was truly amazing — stargazing at night and morning swims were special highlights. Room service kept everything spotless, no noise at all, and fantastic value. Special thanks to Curator/Chef Pradeep, Photographer/Staff Simon, and all the restaurant staff who went out of their way to make our stay special.

Holidays in Maldives

Relaxed with my daughter for 10 days. Overall a great island — delicious and varied food, lots of fruit and delicious desserts. Nice rooms, great room service. Special individual five stars to waiter Simon from the grill — so sympathetic, kind, funny and always willing to help! Thanks also to the karaoke host, friendly and fun!

Kids Club

The hotel was wonderful. The island is large — we rode bicycles everywhere. Especially loved the Kids Club; our children (ages 5 and 2) went with great joy every day — interesting crafts and games. Special thanks to Fare from the Kids Club!

Le Méridien Maldives Resort & Spa

Regular price₹ 368,600
/
Double occupancy, half board, return seaplane transfers and green tax included · valid until 30 Oct 2027

Three nights for two on Thilamaafushi, half board with return seaplane transfers and green tax, starts at ₹3,68,600. Until 30 September the Beach Villa, the Lagoon Villa and the Sunrise Overwater Villa are all the same price, which means an overwater villa costs nothing extra. From 1 November the whole price list steps up between 11% and 38%.

Le Méridien sits on its own island in Lhaviyani Atoll, 130 km from Malé, 35 minutes by seaplane. It is a 134-villa resort that reads much smaller than that number, with a working hydroponic farm, a marine conservation hub and a solar array that carries 40% of the daytime load.

Book by 1 September and October is 15% off

The resort's early bird takes 15% off the room rate for stays in October 2026, and the booking window closes on 1 September 2026. It applies to every villa type. It does not apply to the meal plan, the transfer or the taxes, so the saving lands on the room only.

On a four-night double that is ₹40,200 off the Beach Villa (₹4,76,100 down to ₹4,35,900) and ₹61,700 off the Overwater Villa with Pool. The prices in the lists below do not include it. If October works for you, message us before the 1st and we will apply it.

What this actually costs

Every figure below is the whole trip for the villa: the room, half board for the adults in it, return shared seaplane transfers, and government green tax. The room rate is inclusive of government tax and service charge, so nothing further is added at check-out beyond what you spend on the island.

Indicative, in Indian rupees, and subject to availability at the time of booking. Any other length of stay is a straight addition: ask us and we will price it exactly.

Four things those lists say

  • Travel before November. A Beach Villa for four nights is ₹4,55,500 to 30 September and ₹5,06,900 from 1 November. On the pool villas the step is far bigger: the Overwater Villa with Pool goes from ₹5,37,800 to ₹7,12,700, a third more. The cheap summer band has gone.
  • Overwater is free until 30 September. Beach, Lagoon and Sunrise Overwater are all ₹4,55,500 for four nights in that window. From October the overwater categories separate out. If you want to sleep over the water on a budget, this is the window.
  • The pool is the expensive upgrade, not the position. Sunrise Overwater to Overwater Villa with Pool is ₹82,300 over four nights to 30 September and ₹1,85,200 from November. Beach Villa to Beach Villa with Garden Pool is only ₹32,900 in the same September window, and a garden pool is a real plunge pool.
  • The multi-bedroom villas are not a saving. Two Beach Villas for four adults are ₹9,11,000 to 30 September against ₹9,31,500 for the 2 Bedroom Beach Villa with Pool, and the gap widens to ₹1,85,200 in favour of two villas from November. Three Beach Villas for six are ₹4,93,800 cheaper than the 3 Bedroom. You buy those villas to be under one roof with a shared pool, not to spend less. We will say so when you ask.

Meal plans, and what each one costs

Rooms are sold on bed and breakfast as standard. Our prices above are on half board, which is the plan most guests take on an island with no other options for dinner. Figures on the right are a Beach Villa, four nights, two adults, on stays from 1 November 2026.

  • Bed and breakfast — included in the room rate. Buffet breakfast at Turquoise, still and sparkling house water, tea and coffee. ₹4,12,300
  • Beverage package — US$80 per adult per night. The All Inclusive drinks list, added to any plan. ₹4,78,100
  • Half board — US$115 per adult per night. Adds dinner, either the theme buffet at Turquoise or three courses at a selected restaurant. ₹5,06,900
  • Full board — US$160 per adult per night. Adds lunch, plus non-alcoholic drinks with meals and a daily-replenished soft minibar. ₹5,44,000
  • All inclusive — US$230 per adult per night. Adds alcoholic drinks with meals and in the bars, and the full minibar. ₹6,01,600
  • Premium all inclusive — US$325 per adult per night. Adds premium brands, fresh juices, champagne in all restaurants, special events and culinary classes. ₹6,79,800

Two things most sites are not blunt about. Drinks on half board and full board are only served with meals, inside the restaurants. The bars are open to All Inclusive and Premium All Inclusive guests only. And destination dining and in-villa dining are outside every plan, as are visiting-chef and theme-night set menus, so the beach dinner you saw in the photographs is a supplement whatever you booked.

Two children under twelve stay and eat free

The Le Méridien Family Offer gives free accommodation to up to two children aged 11.99 and under sharing their parents' villa, on the same meal plan from a kids' menu, plus a family marine-biology session, a welcome pack and access to the Kids' Hub for ages 4 to 11.99. You pay their green tax at US$12 per child per night and their seaplane at US$278 return.

Every one-bedroom villa here takes two adults and two children, so a family of four fits in one villa, and at these rates that is the strongest family arithmetic in Lhaviyani. A third child is US$75 per night on bed and breakfast.

Worth knowing if you booked here before: three free children were allowed in a two-bedroom villa and four in the three-bedroom in 2025/26. From 1 November 2026 the cap is two children in any villa. Parents also sign a liability waiver for children under 12 in overwater and pool villas.

Getting there

Seaplane only, 35 minutes, US$555 return per adult and US$278 per child from 1 November 2026 (US$525 and US$263 before that). Infants are free.

The cutoff matters and it has tightened. You must be checked in at the Trans Maldivian counter in the arrivals terminal by 15:30 to reach the resort the same day; it used to be 16:00. Seaplanes fly 06:00 to 15:30 only. Miss it and you overnight in Malé at your own cost and fly in the next morning, which costs you a resort night. Going home, if your international flight leaves Malé before 09:00 you are transferred the previous afternoon and pay for a Malé hotel. Send us your flight numbers before you ticket and we will tell you whether they work.

The last seaplane off the island leaves around 15:00, and the flight may make a stop en route. Baggage is 20 kg checked and 5 kg cabin, with excess at US$5 per kilo.

The island, the reef and the farm

134 villas: 18 Beach, 4 Beach with Garden Pool, 4 Beach with Pool, 7 Lagoon, 37 Sunrise Overwater, 30 Sunset Overwater, 19 Overwater with Pool, 10 two-bedroom Beach with Pool, 4 two-bedroom Overwater with Pool and a single three-bedroom. Sizes run 82 m² to 280 m². There is a family pool, an adults-only pool, a Kids' Hub, a 24-hour gym, a dive and watersports centre, and an overwater spa with glass floor panels in the treatment rooms.

The house reef carries green and hawksbill turtles and is monitored with dive partner Sub Oceanic through the resort's Marine Conservation Hub, where a resident marine biologist runs guided snorkels, a coral and turtle identification programme for children and adults, and a dolphin cruise. Snorkel gear, paddleboards and kayaks are free once you have done the snorkel test; lessons are charged.

The Greenhouse is a 430 m² hydroponic farm, one of the largest in the country, using 30% rainwater and supplying the kitchens directly. You can tour it, plant microgreens, forage with the children or eat at its Harvest Table supper club. On the power side, a 569 kWp array of more than 2,000 panels covers about 40% of daytime demand and saves roughly 750 litres of diesel a day, and the resort is Green Globe certified with a Green Mark Gold Plus rating.

Seven places to eat: Turquoise for all-day international buffets, Tabemasu for Japanese, Velaa Bar + Grill for poolside pizza by day and steak at night, Riviera for Spanish on the beach, La Vie for sundowners over the water, Waves Café for lighter food, and Latitude for coffee in the Hub.

Who this isn't for

If you want a small island, this is not one: 134 villas is mid-size by Maldivian standards, and in the high season it feels it. If you want to eat where you like at no extra cost, the meal-plan rules here are stricter than most, and the honest answer is to price All Inclusive rather than assume half board will cover the week. If you want festive dates, 24 December to 10 January is not sold on these packages: there is a compulsory New Year's Eve gala at US$720 per adult on bed and breakfast or US$620 on any other plan, US$360 and US$310 per child, and a five-night minimum across 27 December to 3 January. Ask us and we will build it by hand.

And read the cancellation terms before you commit. From 1 November 2026 you lose 100% of the full stay if you cancel inside 30 days on most dates, 45 days over festive. A date change, a name change or shortening the stay all count as cancellations. Insurance is not optional here.
