Velaa Private Island Maldives

Velaa is a really special island, and I loved how much character it has beyond the usual Maldives experience. The 9-hole Olazábal-designed golf course is a great touch, especially with the Golf Academy. Food is a big part of the experience too, from Aragu’s refined Asian-European cuisine to the teppanyaki at Tavaru and their impressive private wine cellar. The Wellbeing Village is another standout.
