Movenpick Kuredhivaru

Mövenpick Kuredhivaru has a nice balance of polished luxury and easygoing island life. I particularly liked the overwater villas, with their private pools and little glass floor panels where you can watch the lagoon below. Then there is the daily Chocolate Hour, which is exactly as indulgent as it sounds. The 45-minute seaplane ride from Malé is the one drawback, and dining can add up quickly. Booking takeaway: a great fit for couples or families wanting spacious villas, private pools, marine life and plenty of little extras.
