Thin
There is no reef off the beach or the villas here. The resort runs a free boat to the reef twice a day, and those reefs are decent without being remarkable. The lagoon itself has plenty of fish, and the water under the boardwalk and around the Earth villas is better than most guests expect, because the seagrass was deliberately left there and the marine life shows it. Come for the diving, which is excellent, and for the underwater restaurant. Do not come expecting to snorkel from your steps.

About the resort
OZEN Life Maadhoo has no reef off its beach, so the resort takes you to one: snorkelling boats leave at 09:00 and 15:00 every day, as often as you like, and they are in the price. So is a meal six metres under the sea at M6m, the underwater restaurant.
This is the more active of the two OZEN islands in South Malé Atoll, with 95 villas, eight places to eat and drink, a PADI dive centre and the ELE|NA spa. The plan is built around doing things. The speedboat from Velana takes about 45 minutes and runs day and night.
What you pay
Pick a villa above and the price is four nights for two on THE INDULGENCE plan, the only plan the resort sells, with the return speedboat and every Maldivian tax, green tax included. This offer is for Indian guests and carries both a booking deadline and a travel window, so ask us to confirm both for your dates.
The split stay is the cheapest way in. Two nights in an Earth Villa on the beach and two in a Wind Villa over the water comes to a little less than four nights in the Wind Villa alone.
A private pool is a real step up. The Wind Villa with Pool runs appreciably above the plain Wind Villa over four nights. The Jacuzzi and slide villa sits in between.
A fifth night is not priced on this page, but we can book it in any of the three Wind Villas. Ask us and we will price it.
What's included, and what isn't
In the price: your villa, all meals at The Palms, dinners at Tradition Peking and Tradition IndoCeylon, one lunch at LONU and one meal at M6m, premium drinks including champagne, a minibar restocked daily, the snorkelling boats, a sunset cruise and sunset fishing once each, one spa or dive voucher per adult, non-motorised water sports, the kids' club, and the return speedboat with the airport lounge.
Not in the price: your international flights, travel insurance, dinner at Hudhu Bay Beach Club, dive equipment and courses, personal training, babysitting, anything after 11:00 on departure day, Indian TCS, and anything not named above.
Who this isn't for
Snorkellers who want to swim straight off their steps. The seagrass around the Earth Villas holds more fish than most guests expect, but the reefs are a boat ride away. Our sister pick, OZEN Reserve Bolifushi, has a reef you can reach from the beach and a pool on every villa.
Anyone who wants a private pool at the lowest price. Neither villa in the cheapest split has one.
Families hoping for an underwater dinner with young children. M6m is for guests 12 and over at dinner. Families go at lunch.
Before you book
Four nights is the shortest stay. New bookings only, so they cannot be applied to a booking you have already made. It can be combined with the resort's Child Free offer.
Extra adults and children are added at the resort's standard rates, which this offer does not discount. Green tax applies from age two.
A split stay needs both villas free. The resort may swap the order of your two halves. We tell you the order before you pay.

Underwater restaurant
M6m
M6m is short for minus six metres, which is how far under the lagoon at OZEN LIFE Maadhoo you eat. The dining room looks straight on to a coral reef, and reef sharks and shoals of fish pass close to the glass. The menu is a long tasting menu of seafood, meat or vegetarian courses, with wine and Champagne to match.
What sets it apart is that it is in the price. On the all-inclusive plan, a stay of four nights or more includes one meal at M6m for everyone aged 12 and over, and a stay of fourteen nights includes a second. Children under 12 can only dine at the family lunch on Mondays and Thursdays. Tables are booked ahead, so we reserve yours with the villa.

OZEN Life Maadhoo has 95 villas: Earth Villas on the beach and Wind Villas over the water, some with a private pool. This page prices three Wind Villas, plain, with a Jacuzzi and slide, or with a pool, and two split stays of two nights on the beach and two over the water. The two-bedroom Earth Pool Pavilion and THE OZEN RESIDENCE, a three-bedroom overwater house, are not priced on this page. We can still book them.
What dining options are available at the resort?
The Palms serves all three meals. Tradition Peking serves Chinese dinners and Tradition IndoCeylon Indian and Sri Lankan, both closed on Fridays. Joie de Vivre is the poolside kitchen. All four are in the plan as often as you like. LONU and M6m, the underwater restaurant, give you one visit each on stays of four nights or more. Gin Is In is an adults-only gin bar. Dinner at Hudhu Bay Beach Club is always charged, though daytime access is free.
What is the ELE|NA spa?
ELE|NA is the spa at OZEN Life Maadhoo. The plan gives each adult vouchers to spend on either spa treatments or dives: one at four to five nights, two at six to eight, three at nine to twelve, four at 13 to 16, and five at 17 nights or more. The spa is for guests aged 16 and over. Unused vouchers are not refunded and cannot move between villas.
What water sports and diving facilities are available?
Snorkelling boats leave at 09:00 and 15:00 every day, as often as you like, and snorkel gear, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, canoes and paddleboards are in the price. The resort has a PADI dive centre. Diving comes out of the same vouchers as the spa, one per adult at four to five nights, so a dive means giving up a treatment. Divers must be 12 or over and certified, and equipment and courses are charged.
Is OZEN Life Maadhoo suitable for families?
Yes. The kids' club is open from 09:00 to 18:00 and is in the price. M6m takes guests 12 and over at dinner, so families go at lunch, and LONU is adults only apart from a Saturday family lunch. In-villa babysitting is charged. Prices here are for two, so children are added at the resort's standard rates, and the Child Free offer can be combined. Tell us the ages of anyone travelling and we will price it.
What fitness facilities does the resort offer?
OZENERGY, the gym at OZEN Life Maadhoo, is open daily from 09:00 to 21:00 and is in the plan, as is the floodlit tennis court. Personal training is charged. Non-motorised water sports are included too. Classes change through the week, so ask us for the timetable on your dates if you want to plan around them.
