What Our Guests Say

A Truly Unforgettable Experience

From arriving at Kudadoo Maldives Private Island jetty by speedboat our experience was extraordinary and completely exceeded our expectations. A huge thank you to our incredible butler, Naajy, who went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable. His attention to detail, and ability to anticipate our every need made everything feel effortless and tailored around who we were as a couple. We experienced dreamy floating breakfasts in our private pool overlooking the beautiful turquoise sea, exhilarating jet-ski, although the sea was a little choppy it was still amazing, followed by relaxing massages that felt like absolute paradise. We had 2 days on this amazing island, and every day was filled with luxury, genuine Maldivian warmth and lots of special moments. The food was exceptional, the wine and champagne top notch. Every single member of the Kudadoo team was amazing, warm, welcoming, passionate and professional, with attention to detail at every turn. Kudadoo is a peaceful, luxurious sanctuary where everything feels and is personal and perfectly thought through, we left with memories we will cherish forever.

Perfection exists. It can be found here.

A few years previous, I stayed at Hurawalhi and gazed over the sea at Kudadoo from my water villa wondering what was so special about it. Then I got to stay here just before Christmas. I feel there are two types of people in the world, those that have stayed at Kudadoo, and those that have not. It was life changing. Everything you read about Kudadoo is true. I have never found a hapiness like here and I doubt I ever will again. Just perfect. The Villas are massive, the all inclusive mindset is exactly right, if only other resorts could match this beauty. I could write an essay about how incredible this place is. It is so special. Everything works, whatever you want, your butler is always there to help you. There is one butler between two villas, they are always available and they alwasy come through. It is unbelievably great. A big shout to RanJam for the best bar service you could ever ask for. Thank you to everyone who opened my eyes as to how great a stay in the Maldives can be. I have stayed at many of the best hotels and resorts the world has to offer, this one is top of my list. I hope to come back one day.

Nobody does it like Kudadoo.

Our second time in Kudadoo and it's as perfect and amazing as we remembered it the first time we came here in 2025. Our butler, Mr Saeed, was excellent. He communicated, adjusted our itineraries and made arrangements for the activities we wanted to do in the resort. We can't think of trying another new resort in the Maldives as Kudadoo raised the bar so high I think it's almost to find a resort as good as this. No wonder majority of the guests are returning guests. We can't wait to come back and stay here longer next year and for the many years to come. Kudos to all the wonderful staff and management of Kudadoo.

Dream come true!

My husband and I chose Kudadoo for our 50th anniversary celebration trip. We were more than pleased with our choice. Everything about this island resort was 5 stars. The facilities, the staff, the spa, our residence......perfect!! If you have an opportunity, GO!! Well worth the money!

Kudadoo Maldives Private Island

Price on enquiry Rates move with season, villa and meal plan. Send us the dates and we'll come back with a full costing, transfers included, within 24 hours.

Fifteen residences on an island roughly 200 metres square in Lhaviyani Atoll. Every one sits over water, every one has a 44 m² infinity pool, and there is nothing else on the island. No beach villas, no category ladder, no upgrade to negotiate at check-in.

What separates Kudadoo from the rest of the all-inclusive market is not the food. It is that spa treatments and excursions sit inside the rate. Those two lines quietly add a few hundred dollars a day at almost every other resort in the country.

The residences

Residence Size How many Who we put in it
Ocean Residence, one bedroom 310 m² 13 Couples. For scale, a typical Maldivian overwater villa runs 100 to 150 m².
Ocean Residence, two bedroom 390 m² 2 Two couples travelling together, or a family with teenagers. Only two exist, so they go first.

Both categories have the same 44 m² infinity pool, a wide overwater deck, a bathroom with tub and double vanity, Bang & Olufsen audio and Apple TV. Your butler is on call around the clock and starts work before you land, taking snorkel and dive sizes and shaping the week with you.

What "Anything, Anytime, Anywhere" actually covers

In the rate Not in the rate
All dining, wherever you want it: The Retreat, the beach, your own deck, a sandbank 5.8 Undersea Restaurant at sister resort Hurawalhi
All drinks, champagne and premium spirits included The owner's private wine collection
Signature treatments at Sulha Spa, as often as you want them The luxury yacht charter to Hanifaru Bay
Motorised and non-motorised watersports Green tax and TGST, covered below
Excursions: guided snorkelling with the resident marine biologist, sunset cruises, private sandbank picnics on Dream Island Your flights and travel insurance

The spa line is the one worth pausing on. Sulha is the highest elevated overwater spa in the country and includes a Himalayan salt room, steam room, sauna and gym, with a personal trainer and yoga instructor available. At a conventional all-inclusive, a couple taking one treatment each every other day would spend more on the spa alone than most people budget for drinks.

Getting there

Route Time What to know
Direct seaplane from Velana International About 40 minutes Daylight operation only. A late-evening landing in Malé means a night in the capital before you fly out, and that costs you a resort night. Send us your inbound flight and we will tell you before you book, not after.
Domestic flight to Madivaru, then speedboat About 35 minutes flying, then a short boat Domestic flights run later into the evening than seaplanes, so this is usually the better route for a late arrival from India.

Kudadoo keeps its own lounge at the seaplane terminal. Their airport team meets you after immigration and drives you across in an air-conditioned vehicle rather than leaving you to find the shuttle.

The house reef and the water

Strong, and unusually easy to get to. The reef runs directly beneath the residences, so you enter from your own steps instead of swimming out to find it. Turtles are routine on the seagrass. Lhaviyani is one of the more dependable atolls in the country for manta, and the dive centre runs channel dives and scooter dives that most guests rate above the snorkelling. Rebreathers are available if you are certified, and there is a kitesurfing school and a surf spot in the south of the atoll reached by speedboat.

What this actually costs

Rates move with season and residence category, so we quote rather than publish. What we can tell you now:

  • Green tax is US$12 per person per night, set by the government and payable by every guest aged two and over.
  • TGST at 17% and the resort service charge apply on top of the room rate. Whether they are already inside a quoted figure varies by contract, so we state it in writing on every costing we send.
  • Seaplane or domestic transfers are quoted with the package. We give you the return cost per adult as a separate line so you can see it.
  • On-island spend at Kudadoo is close to nothing, which is rare. Unless you book 5.8 or open the owner's cellar, you will sign for very little all week. That is the honest argument for the rate.

Who this isn't for

If you are travelling with children under 15, this is the wrong island. Kudadoo takes guests aged 15 and over unless you rent the whole place, and we would rather move you to a resort in the same atoll than have you arrive and find out. If you want sand at your door, there are no beach villas here at all. If you want six restaurants, a beach club and an island you can walk around for an hour, 200 metres square with one main building will feel small by day four. And if the budget is tight, fifteen residences with everything included prices exactly the way you would expect.

We still send people here often. It suits couples on a milestone trip who want privacy and no bill at the end, and it suits them very well.

Where in the Maldives?

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Kudadoo? +
Kudadoo sits on its own island in Lhaviyani Atoll, roughly 200 metres square, with fifteen overwater residences and nothing else on it. Hurawalhi is the sister property nearby.
How do I get there? +
Two routes. A direct seaplane from Velana International takes about 40 minutes, but seaplanes fly in daylight only, so a late international arrival into Malé means an overnight in the capital before you fly out. The alternative is a 35-minute domestic flight to Madivaru followed by a short speedboat, which runs later into the evening. Send us your inbound flight and we will confirm which route gets you in the same day.
What does Anything, Anytime, Anywhere include? +
All dining wherever and whenever you want it, including in your residence. All beverages, with champagne and premium spirits. Motorised and non-motorised watersports. Spa treatments. Excursions, from sunset cruises to private dinners. Spa and excursions are the two lines that set this apart from a standard Maldivian all-inclusive, where both are extras.
Are there children at Kudadoo? +
Kudadoo accepts guests aged 15 and over, unless you book the island exclusively. If you're travelling with younger children this isn't the right resort, and we'll suggest alternatives in the same atoll.
What residences are available? +
Thirteen one-bedroom Ocean Residences at 310 m² and two two-bedroom at 390 m². All fifteen are over water with a 44 m² infinity pool and steps into the lagoon. For scale, a typical Maldivian overwater villa runs 100 to 150 m².
What is the house reef like? +
The reef sits directly beneath the residences, so you enter from your own steps rather than swimming out to find it. The dive centre runs daily trips to Lhaviyani's manta cleaning stations, among the more reliable manta sites in the country.
Is Kudadoo sustainable? +
The island runs on 984 solar panels set into a roof that doubles as the main building. It's the only fully solar-powered island in the Maldives.
How do I book or check rates? +
Message us on WhatsApp or send an enquiry through this page. We'll come back within 24 hours with a full costing including seaplane transfers.
