Getting there

Male to the island
~40 MIN
Shared seaplane. Daylight only, so the last useful arrival at Male is 15:00.
Before you fly
PRIVATE LOUNGE
Kudadoo has its own lounge at the seaplane terminal rather than the shared hall.
Both ways
IN THE PRICE
Return seaplane for two is inside every figure we quote you.

Send us your inbound flight time before you book it. The seaplane is shared and flies in daylight only. Land at Male in the evening and you spend a night there at your own expense, so we check the connection first.

A private seaplane charter is available if the schedule will not work. Ask and we will price it.

The villas

Villa Size Pool Sleeps How many
Ocean Pool Residence, One BedroomOver the water, with a 44 sqm infinity pool. Two adults is the ceiling, not the starting point. 310 m² 44 m² 2 adults 13
Ocean Pool Residence, Two BedroomOnly two on the island, so ask early if you need one. 390 m² Private 4 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children 2

Every residence is over the water and every one has its own pool. There are no beach villas here, because there is barely a beach. The island is small and the accommodation is a single jetty of fifteen.

The one-bedroom takes two adults and no more. There is no third bed and no sofabed. A third traveller means the two-bedroom, and there are only two of those.

Ask for a villa number when you book. The higher-numbered residences look towards Hinnavaru, an inhabited local island. The lower numbers face open water and are the ones guests consistently prefer. We will request one for you.

Kudadoo’s own website calls these one- and two-bedroom residences. Your confirmation will read Ocean Pool Residence, which is the name on our booking system and the resort’s contract.

Eating

Anything Anytime Anywhere covers

  • Everything at Keyolhu, the island restaurant, and dining in your residence at any hour
  • Over 80 wines and 6 champagnes, every one rated 88 or above by Wine Spectator
  • Unlimited spa treatments, wherever you are on the island, plus the sauna, steam room and salt chamber
  • Private diving, personalised excursions, jet ski, flyboard and parasailing
  • Dining across at Hurawalhi, at Kashibo and Canneli

Charged on top

  • The Owner’s Wine Cellar, which sits outside the plan entirely
  • 5.8 Undersea Restaurant at Hurawalhi
  • Diving certification courses, though the diving itself is included
  • Private yacht hire, weddings and vow renewals
  • Anything not on the menu

One restaurant, and that is the whole picture

Keyolhu sits on the sand under the palms and serves all day. There is a bar at The Retreat for cocktails and light plates, a walk-in cheese room, and two wine cellars.

Beyond that, dinner is wherever you ask for it: in your residence, on the jungle deck, on a beach, or on a picnic to Dream Island. That is what the plan means by anywhere.

The spa inclusion is the unusual part

Most all-inclusive plans in the Maldives stop at the restaurant door. Kudadoo’s includes unlimited treatments at Sulha Spa, which is an overwater pavilion at The Retreat, along with the Himalayan salt chamber.

On a five-night stay that is worth more than the food. It is the single strongest reason to take this plan over a comparable water-villa island.

The water

Why we rate it 5 out of 5

The reef here is mostly brain coral, which handles heat far better than branching coral, so it came through the bleaching in better condition than most of the atoll.

You can swim the full circumference of the island, and the edge sits a few metres off some decks. Guests point to the low-numbered residences and the water by the main building as the richest stretches.

Big schools of fusiliers, blacktip reef sharks and turtles. Not the most dramatic reef in the country, but among the healthiest, and you reach it down your own ladder.

Current is the one caution

The reef is strong partly because water moves across it. Guests report days when the current is firm enough that the sensible move is to get out on the sand and walk back rather than swim against it.

Ask at the dive centre before you swim out on any given day. It is a two-minute question and it is the right one.

Who it suits

YES
Snorkellers who want the reef off their own steps. Healthy brain coral a few metres from some decks, and you can swim the whole island.
YES
Couples who want the bill closed. Unlimited spa treatments inside the plan, which almost no other island offers.
YES
Anyone who wants somewhere genuinely small. Fifteen residences. You will recognise everyone by the second day.
NO
Anyone who wants a choice of restaurants. There is one. Everything else is the same kitchen in a different setting.
NO
Anyone who came for a beach. The island is tiny and the beach is minimal. This is a jetty of water villas.
NO
Three adults in one room. The one-bedroom holds two, full stop. Three means the two-bedroom, and there are only two.

What you pay

What the price is built on

Two adults, three nights, the all-inclusive plan, return shared seaplane for two, and every Maldivian tax. Indian TCS is the only thing added.

Two residences across five travel windows, starting at ₹1,368,600.

Longer stays are where this island pays off

With the spa inside the plan and one restaurant, the value curve bends upward with every night. Three nights is the shortest we sell and it is short for here.

Tell us it is a honeymoon or an anniversary and we will price five nights beside three, so you can see what the difference actually buys.

Ask us for these

The two-bedroom residence, of which there are only two on the island.

Extra nights, a private seaplane charter, and the 5.8 Undersea Restaurant at Hurawalhi, which sits outside the plan.

One date to watch

The rates above run to 31 October 2027, which is unusually long and means a 2027 honeymoon can be locked now.

The festive fortnight, 27 December to 5 January, is not on the dropdown: it carries a five-night minimum and compulsory gala dinners charged on top. We will build those dates by hand.

Things we would rather you heard from us

  • There is one restaurant. Keyolhu, all day. The destination dinners are the same kitchen in a nicer setting. If a different venue each night matters to you, this is the wrong island, and we would rather you heard that from us.
  • “Anything anytime” has a written exclusion list. The Owner’s Wine Cellar, the undersea restaurant at Hurawalhi, yacht hire, weddings and anything off-menu are all charged. We will send you the list before you travel rather than let you meet it at checkout.
  • The island is very small and the beach is thin. Fifteen residences on a jetty. Guests who came expecting sand to walk say so. What you get instead is the reef and the privacy.
  • Villa position changes the view. The higher-numbered residences look at Hinnavaru, an inhabited island. Ask us to request a low number and we will.
  • The seaplane is shared and daylight only. It waits for a full load and stops flying in the afternoon. If your flight from India lands late, the connection does not work and we will tell you before you book it.

Shall we price it for you?

Tell us your dates, who is travelling and which airport you fly from. We will price both residences with the seaplane and the taxes inside the number, request a low villa number, and show you what a fifth night does to the total. We reply within 24 hours.
