Getting there
Send us your inbound flight time before you book it. The seaplane is shared and flies in daylight only. Land at Male in the evening and you spend a night there at your own expense, so we check the connection first.
The flight to Dharavandhoo buys you nearly an hour of extra margin on arrival day. It is the route to ask about if your flight from India lands late.

Every villa on the island has its own pool. The water villa's is 42 sqm, one of the largest in the Maldives, and its steps go straight down to the reef. The beach villa is larger overall at 290 sqm but its pool is smaller.
There is no fourth bed anywhere on Milaidhoo. Every villa holds two adults and one child, or three adults. A family of four cannot be accommodated in one villa.

Four restaurants, two bars
Ocean Restaurant is where half board is served. Shoreline Grill is casual and beachside, Ba’theli by the Reef sits over the water, and Azure is the newest, open for lunch and known for wood-fired pizzas.
Drinks are at the Compass Pool Bar and at Ba’theli. Room service runs 24 hours.
What the package also carries
A 24-hour island host, wifi, one in-villa romantic breakfast, one group excursion (the dolphin cruise or sunset fishing), a USD 100 spa credit per villa, snorkelling gear for the stay, an hour of kayak a day, and yoga at the overwater pavilion most mornings.
Extra nights, a third adult and the Gourmet Plan are all quotable. Ask and we will put those numbers inside your costing rather than let you meet them at reception.
The water
Why we rate it 5 out of 5
Most islands make you choose between a good reef and a clear lagoon. Milaidhoo has both, which is rare enough to be the main reason to come.
The drop-off holds very large schools. The reef zig-zags rather than running straight, so it stays interesting, and it takes over an hour to swim round.
Guests single out a triangular coral formation in front of one of the beach villas as the best of it, and report the easiest access from the water villas at the far end. Ask us which villa you are being quoted.
Hanifaru Bay
Milaidhoo sits minutes from Hanifaru Bay, the manta and whale shark aggregation site inside the UNESCO biosphere reserve.
The season runs June to November. Milaidhoo plans three trips a week in season, weather permitting. Sightings turn on tide, moon phase and current, so nobody can promise them and we will not.
The reef off the water villa steps is a protected area.

Every celebration benefit on the island needs four nights: the signature cake, the star-naming ceremony, the couples’ massage and the candlelit dinner on your own deck.

Two dates to watch
The rates above run to 22 December 2026. Festive dates are priced by hand.
Honeymoon extras need a marriage certificate less than twelve months old, sent when you book. Honeymoon and babymoon benefits do not combine.
Things we would rather you heard from us
- Half board is dinner at one restaurant. Eat anywhere else and you get a USD 65 credit towards the bill, not a free meal. Anything above it is yours, and drinks are never covered.
- There can be real current at the reef edge. It is a strong reef partly because water moves across it. Ask the dive centre before you swim out on a given day.
- Fewer sharks and rays than the fish density suggests. The schools here are exceptional. The big animals are less reliable than at some other islands, and we would rather say so.
- The seaplane is shared and daylight only. It waits for a full load and stops flying in the afternoon. The flight to Dharavandhoo is the later route if your arrival is tight.
- Three nights is the shortest we sell, and it is short for here. Between the transfer and the celebration benefits gating at four nights, three nights gets you less of the island than the price suggests.
