Great and small island

Small and amazing island, so if you prefer activities I don't recommend here, but if you like private space and a quiet atmosphere, I definitely recommend going here.

Unforgettable stay at Milaidhoo with amazing service from Abdulla

We had an incredible stay at Milaidhoo Maldives. The island is breathtaking, villas are spacious and private, and all the dining experiences were fantastic. Special thanks to our host Abdulla. He was incredibly friendly, thoughtful and proactive. He anticipated our needs, offered great local tips and took care of every request efficiently. His warm service made our holiday extra memorable. We truly enjoyed every moment and would love to return in the future. Highly recommend!

Paradise on Earth

My spouse and I enjoyed fifteen wonderful, heavenly days at the 5-star Milaidhoo resort. This trip is the trip of a lifetime, an exceptional place protected by UNESCO, where colorful fish, adorable turtles, and lush flora coexist. Our overwater villa was a haven of peace, aesthetics, and unparalleled elegance. We enjoyed having breakfast every morning at Ocean, facing the turquoise sea. We were supported and guided throughout by Abdulla, a man of certain kindness and professionalism. Thanks to him for his recommendations, his advice, and his daily kindness. A stay punctuated by delicate attentions and surprises. Congratulations also to all the staff: maintenance workers, servers, massage therapists, cooks. We will return to paradise on Earth.

The Great Trip

It was a great experience. I think it's the most competitive island within the same price range. They offered many honeymoon benefits, especially our butler John was very enthusiastic and added a lot of excitement to our honeymoon trip. The lagoon is very beautiful and there are abundant snorkelling resources. We saw nurse sharks, turtles, and Nemo. If I come to Maldives again, I think I will still choose this island.

Milaidhoo Maldives

Regular price₹ 592,000
/
Double occupancy, 3 nights, half board, return transfers, all taxes included except TCS · valid until 22 Dec 2026

Milaidhoo has a genuinely outstanding reef and a clear turquoise lagoon. Most islands make you pick one. The drop-off holds very large schools, the reef zig-zags so it stays interesting, and it takes over an hour to swim round.

The island is small. Fifty villas and residences on 300 metres by 180 metres, in Baa Atoll, inside the UNESCO biosphere reserve and minutes from Hanifaru Bay.

Thirty-five minutes by seaplane from Male. Nobody under eight stays here.

What you pay

Pick a villa and your dates above. The price is per villa for two adults, three nights, and nothing is added at the resort.

Three nights in a Water Pool Villa start at ₹592,000. The same villa from October is higher, and a Beach Pool Villa in that window is ₹767,900.

Both villas are enormous. The Beach Pool Villa is 290 sqm with a 36 sqm infinity pool. The Water Pool Villa is 245 sqm with a 42 sqm pool, one of the largest in the Maldives, and steps straight down to the reef.

Two Beach Residences at 490 sqm and one Two Bedroom Ocean Residence at 564 sqm are not in the list above. Ask and we will price them.

What’s included, and what isn’t

In the price: the villa, return transfers for two, breakfast, a three-course dinner at Ocean Restaurant, a 24-hour island host, wifi, one in-villa romantic breakfast, one group excursion, a USD 100 spa credit per villa, snorkelling gear for the stay, an hour of kayak a day, yoga most mornings, and every Maldivian tax.

Not in the price: your international flights, travel insurance, lunch, all drinks, Indian TCS, and anything not named above.

Dinner at Shoreline Grill or Ba’theli instead of Ocean Restaurant gives you a food-only credit of USD 65 a head. Anything above it is yours. Azure, the newest restaurant, opens for lunch only.

Who this isn’t for

Families with young children. Milaidhoo takes nobody under eight.

Families of four. Every villa holds two adults and one child, or three adults. There is no fourth bed on the island.

Three-night honeymoons. The cake, the star-naming, the couples’ massage and the candlelit dinner on your own deck all need four nights. On three you get none of them. Add the night and tell us, and we will attach them.

Before you book

Two ways in. The 35-minute seaplane lands in daylight only, by 15:30. A 15-minute flight to Dharavandhoo and a 15-minute boat runs later, to 16:20. Send us your inbound flight time and we will tell you which one your arrival allows.

Hanifaru Bay runs June to November. That is manta season and Milaidhoo plans three trips a week, weather permitting. Sightings turn on tide, moon and current, so nobody can promise them.

Honeymoon extras need a marriage certificate less than twelve months old, sent when you book. Honeymoon and babymoon benefits do not combine.

Ask about the far-end water villas. Guests report the easiest reef access from those, and we will check which villa you are being quoted.

Tell us your dates, who is travelling and which airport you fly from. We will price both villas with the transfer and the taxes inside the number, and the fourth night beside three so you can see what the celebration benefits are worth. Message our Maldives specialists on WhatsApp or send us an enquiry. We reply within 24 hours.

House reef 5/5 Exceptional

Live coral within swimming distance of the beach, reliably good fish life, safe entry.

Rare combination: a genuinely outstanding reef and a clear turquoise lagoon, where most islands make you pick one. The drop-off holds very large schools, the reef zig-zags so it stays interesting, and it takes over an hour to swim round. Guests single out a triangular coral formation in front of one of the beach villas as the best of it, and report the easiest access from the overwater villas at the far end. Ask us and we will check which villa you are being quoted. There can be real current at the edge, and fewer sharks and rays than the fish density might lead you to expect.

Getting there

Route Seaplane
Journey 35 min, airport to island
Last arrival that works 15:30

Land at Velana after 15:30 and the last transfer of the day will have gone, which means a night in Malé before you reach the island.

There is a second way in. Domestic flight to Dharavandhoo + speedboat, about 30 min, for arrivals at Velana up to 16:20.

Shared seaplane, daylight only. Land at Velana in the evening and you spend a night in Malé first, so send us your flights and we will check the connection before you book.

Transfer details last checked August 2026. We re-check yours against your actual ticket before we quote. See what your flight can reach →
