Fact sheet

Constance Halaveli

North Ari Atoll · 25 minutes by seaplane · Half board or all inclusive

A five-star island in North Ari Atoll, 25 minutes from Velana by seaplane, where every villa has its own plunge pool and the reef starts at the water villa steps. The villas, the Jing restaurant and the pool and beach were refreshed in 2026. The catches are a seaplane that stops in the afternoon, few beach villas for the demand, and breakwaters around the island that make it a lagoon swim rather than an open-sea beach. Everything worth knowing before you decide, in one page.

Location and transfers

By seaplane
About 25 min
Shared, in daylight only. Land at Velana by 15:30; later, and you spend a night in Malé first, at your own expense. The wait in the resort's airport lounge runs from 45 minutes to two hours, with drinks and snacks.
Going home
Before 08:50
A flight leaving Malé before 08:50 means leaving the island the afternoon before. A lounge with showers is kept for early arrivals and late departures.

Seaplane luggage is 20 kg in the hold and 5 kg in the cabin per person. Excess is paid at the seaplane counter, and no single bag may weigh 30 kg or more.

Island time is one hour ahead of Malé. Send us your flight times and we check the connection both ways before you book.

Every villa has its own plunge pool. The Water Villa sits over the reef; the Beach Villa gives up the view for a large private garden.

Book the beach early. There are nine Beach Villas against 57 Water Villas, so they go first in the dry season.

Families of four need a family villa. The Water and Beach Villas take one extra bed. The four larger beach villas are priced on request, so tell us the ages and we will ask.

Wine and diets

The two cellars hold more than twenty-five thousand bottles. Dishes marked for vegan, paleo and keto diets run across the menus. Tell us about vegetarian, Jain or other needs when you book.

The water

A reef from the villa steps

Guests snorkel straight off the water villa deck, with blacktip sharks, rays, dense reef fish and live coral in patches. Beach villa guests reach it with a short swim. Not everyone rates it among the best house reefs they have swum. The island is ringed by breakwaters, and beyond them the waves can be big and the swimming is not reliably safe. We score the house reef 4 out of 5.

North Ari by boat

TGI is a PADI 5 Star dive centre on the island, with an underwater photographer. Guided snorkel trips go to reefs beyond the island, including trips to see manta rays, and there is night fishing, big game fishing and sunset cruises.

Children and safety

Coconut Tribe

The kids' club takes children aged four to eleven, from 09:00 to 21:00, with a separate space for four to six year olds. Babysitting is charged. There is a doctor and clinic on the island round the clock; the nearest hospital is in Malé, 25 minutes by seaplane.

On the island

On the island

The spa stands on stilts over the lagoon, with eight treatment rooms, a sauna, a steam room and Sisley treatments, open 10:00 to 20:00. The gym is open round the clock, the tennis court is floodlit, and laundry is same day.

Refreshed in 2026

The water and beach villas, the arrival area, the pool, the beach and Jing were renewed in 2026. Two Royal Villas open on 1 January 2027.

Things we would rather you heard from us

  • The seaplane sets the clock. Land by 15:30, or spend a night in Malé.
  • Beach villas are few. Nine against 57 over the water.
  • Breakwaters ring the island. Calm inside, rough beyond.
  • Lunch and drinks are extra on half board. All inclusive covers them, for the whole party.
  • The reef divides opinion. Most love it; some call it fine rather than spectacular.
