Niva Kurumba Maldives in North Malé Atoll has shared its festive programme for 2026–27. It runs from 21 December 2026 to 7 January 2027, with gala dinners on Christmas and New Year's Eve, a daily kids' club programme and live entertainment every evening.
What is on, 21 December 2026 to 7 January 2027
- Christmas. A Christmas gala dinner, and Santa on the island for the children.
- New Year's Eve. Vihamaana is dressed in lights for a circus-themed gala dinner, with seafood cooked in front of you, grills, desserts and a saxophonist. Close to midnight the evening moves to Kandu for live music and fireworks over the water.
- Every day. A kids' club programme, live entertainment, themed sundowners on the beach with live music, and a festive menu of treatments at LIME Wellbeing, the resort's spa.
What it means for your stay
Kurumba is a short boat ride from the airport, so it works well for a short Christmas or New Year break, and the kids' club and nightly entertainment make it an easy choice for families. One thing to plan around: the à la carte restaurants are closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve, so on those three nights dinner is the gala. Some festive experiences must be booked ahead and carry a charge.
