What Our Guests Say

Rated Travellers' Choice on TripAdvisor

Pure Paradise, Exquisite Dining & Unforgettable Family Memories with Hajar!

We just returned from an absolute dream family vacation at Amilla Maldives with our 7-year-old child, and it exceeded every expectation! The island's natural beauty is unreal—lush jungle greenery, pristine powder-white beaches, and crystal-clear turquoise waters rich with marine life. It felt like playing in a tropical paradise. The culinary experience was another massive highlight. Every meal was delicious, especially the authentic local Maldivian dishes and fresh seafood. Above all, what made our trip truly special was our amazing butler, Hajar. She took exceptional care of all three of us throughout our stay! Hajar was warm, thoughtful, and incredibly attentive—especially toward our child. Thank you, Hajar, and the Amilla team for giving our family memories that we will cherish forever.

Room and service

Reef villa is very good. It is close to the trench. There are many fish. You can see the fish when you jump in the morning. My housekeeper Monika is great and the service is very considerate. I like her. The room was cleaned very cleanly, and the water and bath towels were replenished in time.

Amilla Maldives

Regular price₹ 752,900
/
Double occupancy, 4 nights, bed and breakfast, return shared seaplane, all taxes included except TCS · valid until 19 Dec 2027

Amilla sits in Baa Atoll, inside the UNESCO biosphere reserve. The rate above is four nights for two on bed and breakfast, with the return shared seaplane, the green tax and every other tax already inside it.

Four one-bedroom villas are on it. For the reef, take a Reef Water Pool Villa: the ladder drops you straight onto it. For space, the Beach Pool Villa is 470 sqm, more than twice the footprint of a water villa, and there are only six.

What this actually costs

Pick your villa and your travel dates above and the price updates to that combination. Prices move by season rather than smoothly: the cheapest windows are May to June 2027 and September 2027, the dearest January to April 2027. Travel runs to 19 December 2027.

  • Lunch and dinner are not in it. This is bed and breakfast, not all-inclusive, worth holding in mind against the packaged resorts on this site. Half board, full board and beverage packages are per adult per night; ask and we will cost them.
  • Half board narrows from 2027. Feeling Koi, the signature restaurant, and the weekly themed dinners come out of it, replaced by a USD 100 per adult dinner credit.
  • Longer stays unlock more. Four nights carries wine on arrival, a romantic turndown and a spa add-on. Seven adds a surprise excursion and a beach dinner. Ten adds a floating breakfast and a treatment for the couple.

If you have stayed at Amilla before, say so. Returning guests get 5% off the room rate all year, plus, on 2027 stays, a private Blue Hole snorkel, a 30-minute massage each and 20% off the spa. The easiest benefit here to forget to claim.

Who this isn’t for

Anyone wanting Christmas or New Year on four nights. The resort needs five for arrivals between 24 December 2026 and 10 January 2027, and again from 20 December 2027 to 10 January 2028, so a four-night booking is refused.

No check-out on 31 December, no check-in on 1 January, and a compulsory USD 600 per adult on Christmas Eve and USD 950 on New Year's Eve on top. Ask and we will build those dates.

Larger families, too. A one-bedroom villa takes three adults, or two adults with one or two children depending on category, on one rollaway and one sofa bed. Beyond that it is the two-bedroom villas and residences, quoted separately.

Before you book

  • The seaplane flies in daylight only. Your inbound flight has to land at Malé before 15:00, and your onward flight has to leave after 09:00. If your timings miss, book the Malé night. Ask us before you ticket.
  • Children under four stay free. From four there is a per-night charge, and everyone aged two and above pays the green tax and the seaplane seat regardless. The Kids Club takes four to twelve.
  • Celebration benefits need proof at the time of booking, not on arrival. The wedding has to fall within six months before you arrive, the anniversary within 30 days either side.
  • The Amilla Seaplane Lounge is yours on arrival and departure, until 8pm. Snorkelling gear, bicycles and the guided house reef tour come with the villa.

Tell us your dates, who is travelling and if anyone has stayed before, and we will price two villa categories with the seaplane and taxes inside the number, the half board upgrade costed, and the returning-guest discount applied if it is yours. Message our Maldives specialists on WhatsApp or send us an enquiry. We reply within 24 hours.

House reef 4/5 Strong

Worth choosing the resort for. One or two caveats on entry point or current.

The reef rings the entire island and the Reef Villas drop a ladder straight onto it. Guests on their fourth or fifth Maldives trip pick Amilla for this specifically: turtles, eagle rays and four species of shark are routine, and there is a natural Blue Hole a short boat ride out. Best water is off the overwater reef villas. The beach entry is separately good for children: easy, sandy, no coral underfoot. Guests report that only the first guided snorkel is included, so we will confirm that with the resort when we quote you.

Getting there

Route Seaplane
Journey 35 min, airport to island
Last arrival that works 15:00

Land at Velana after 15:00 and the last transfer of the day will have gone, which means a night in Malé before you reach the island.

There is a second way in. Domestic flight to Dharavandhoo + speedboat, about 50 min, for arrivals at Velana up to 16:20.

All seaplane flight timings are scheduled by Manta Air. Routes may involve up to two short stops en-route.

Transfer details last checked August 2026. We re-check yours against your actual ticket before we quote. See what your flight can reach →
