House reef

You will enjoy it. You would not cross an atoll for it.
The reef edge here is about 180 metres out, and between the beach and it you cross shallow lagoon and dead coral. That swim rules it out for a weak swimmer without a vest, and life jackets are provided in the rooms. Make the swim and it is worth it: eagle rays of all sizes, mobula rays, blacktips, whitetips, nurse sharks and turtles are all regularly reported at the edge. Bleaching is reported plainly. Being twenty minutes from Male means clouded water near the shore and some noise. All inclusive guests get free gear and one included trip.
Getting there
Transfers run around the clock, so any arrival time connects and you never need a night in Malé on the way in.
