Worth choosing the resort for. One or two caveats on entry point or current.
The reef sits a few metres off the beach and runs around the island, so guests spend whole days in the water rather than planning trips. Blacktips, turtles, eagle rays, stingrays, octopus and heavy reef fish are all reported, and the ladder by the dive shop is the entry people name for mornings. Every villa here is a beach villa, so nobody is disadvantaged on access. The coral has greyed and bleached across much of it, which guests say openly while still rating the marine life highly. Hanifaru Bay is about twenty minutes away as a charged seasonal trip.
