House reef

You will enjoy it. You would not cross an atoll for it.
The reef is on one side, the side facing the neighbouring industrial island, and you cross a shallow lagoon to reach it. Guests reliably report blacktip reef sharks, stingrays, eagle rays and turtles, and the marine life close to the water villas is the best of it. The coral has been described as heavily damaged, and there are now coral cages around the new teppanyaki restaurant that are worth a swim. Two warnings: the lagoon is shallow enough to catch you on coral, and titan triggerfish are here, which get aggressive when nesting. The serious snorkelling is by boat.
