About the resort
JW Marriott Maldives Kaafu Atoll Island Resort is fifteen minutes from Velana by the resort's speedboat, one of the shortest transfers in the Maldives. The speedboat runs on a schedule, so send us your flight times and we will tell you how long the wait is.
It is a polished, family-friendly island in North Malé Atoll, with pool villas on the beach and over the lagoon, a kids' club, an overwater spa and restaurants from Italian at Riva to Japanese-Peruvian at Nikkei. Eight kinds of villa are priced on this page, up to the Overwater Ocean Residence, which has its own slide.
What you pay
Every price is for the whole stay: the villa, breakfast daily, the return speedboat and every Maldivian tax. It is for two people in the one-bedroom villas, four adults in the two-bedroom villas and five in the Ocean Residence.
Children under twelve stay free and ride the speedboat free when they share your villa. Half board and full board can be added, and we price them on request.
What's included, and what isn't
In the price: the villa, a buffet breakfast at Veyo, snorkelling gear, stand-up paddleboards, kayaks and pedal boats, the gym, the return speedboat and every Maldivian tax.
Not in the price: lunch, dinner and drinks, spa treatments, excursions, your international flights, travel insurance, Indian TCS, and anything not named above.
Who this isn't for
Anyone after a small, barefoot hideaway far from the airport. This is a large, polished international resort built with families in mind, not a quiet island for two. Being so close to Velana has a downside too: some guests hear planes coming in to land.
Parents with children under twelve in an overwater villa sign a safety form at check-in. With toddlers, a beach villa is the easier choice.
Before you book
Honeymooners on four nights or more get champagne, a private dinner on the beach and a romantic turndown, and a couples' massage on seven nights or more. Yes. Children under twelve stay free and ride the speedboat free when they share your villa, and there is a kids' club with indoor and outdoor play areas. Parents with children under twelve in an overwater villa sign a safety form at check-in, so with toddlers a beach villa is the easier choice.
Which villa has a slide?
The Overwater Ocean Residence, the island's single largest villa. It sits over the lagoon with a slide into the sea, a private pool, its own spa room and room for five adults. It is confirmed on request, so ask us early.
What do honeymooners get?
On stays of four nights or more, honeymooners get a bottle of champagne, a private dinner on the beach and a romantic turndown. On seven nights or more there is also a 60-minute couples' massage. Bring a wedding certificate from the last twelve months.
