House reef

Worth choosing the resort for. One or two caveats on entry point or current.
A real reef close in, with the coral about five metres off the beach and direct access from the ocean bungalows, where some guests go from their pool into the sea. Expect colourful fish in volume, rays, and five or six resident nurse sharks that gather under the Salt restaurant, with night snorkelling a signature here. Two honest caveats: the resort has closed reef access on days when the current is running, and entry from the overwater bungalows is shallow or coral-strewn on both sides. Well travelled snorkellers rate it good rather than exceptional.
Getting there
Transfers run around the clock, so any arrival time connects and you never need a night in Malé on the way in.
