You will enjoy it. You would not cross an atoll for it.
The snorkelling here happens around a breakwater near the east-side villas rather than off a reef you can follow. It is genuinely good in that spot, with rays, reef sharks, barracuda, turtles and baby sharks right at the water's edge, and mantas reported in season. Two practical problems: the coral is sharp, so bring swim shoes, and snorkel gear is not in the room, only rented by the hour and only usable in the rental area. Guests also end up crossing to the neighbouring Riu island for the better reef, over a catwalk that is unlit at night.
