We enjoyed a fantastic 5-night stay at Grand Park Kodhipparu. The lagoon water villa was the perfect place to be anytime of the day or night — the view of the lagoon, the night sky, the glass floor and the stingray we kept seeing especially early mornings. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Osamah, our island host, was always cheerful. We had a great time doing yoga with Diksha every morning at 6am and evening at 5pm. The food at the different restaurants was fresh and tasty. Definitely a recommended place to spend your vacation in the Maldives.
Our trip to Grand Park Kodhipparu was everything we wanted from the Maldives and more! We were particularly impressed by the staff — Diksha's morning and evening yoga sessions were the perfect start and end to a relaxing day. We also had a fabulous time with activities assisted by Saira, who brought a fun, positive and welcoming presence to every session. Our host Osamah helped fulfil all of our requests — no inquiry was too much for him. Overall a 10/10 experience. Can't wait to come back!
It was the most amazing trip ever, from start to finish. Everything was just magnificent. The staff were wonderful, nothing was too much trouble. It was just magnificent.
The resort is incredibly cozy and has a total aesthetic, Insta-worthy vibe. It's on the smaller side, but every space feels wide open and uncrowded. The food is great, and the sports centre receptionists are very warm and welcoming, enthusiastically introducing all the available activities. An ideal vacation spot for groups of friends, couples and spouses alike. Highly recommended.

Twenty minutes from Male, so you will see the city on the horizon, and one of the better reefs within that range, which is an unusual pairing. Book a reef villa and the drop-off is a few steps from your ladder; from an ocean villa it is a swim. Soft corals, which are scarcer than people assume, plus reef sharks and morays most days and resident marine biologists to point them out. The current will drift you gently along the reef edge, which is the nicest way to do it. The villa category matters more here than almost anywhere, so tell us if the reef is the priority.
Transfers run around the clock, so a late landing does not cost you a night in Malé.
Shared speedboat, running day and night, so any arrival time connects. Boats are scheduled rather than private, so allow a wait at Velana.

Twenty minutes from Male with coral this good is an unusual pairing, and the reef sits a few steps from some villas and a swim from others. Tell us before you book if the snorkelling is the point, because it is the one thing you cannot fix once you arrive.
A shared speedboat, about twenty minutes, running day and night. There is no daylight window to miss, so a late landing at Velana still puts you on the island the same night. Boats run to a schedule rather than to you, so allow a wait at the airport. Being this close to Male is the quiet advantage of the place: on a three or four night trip you lose almost nothing to travelling.

What is worth saying now is that the short distance to Male makes the half-day trips genuinely practical from here, which is not true of the far atolls.
Grand Park sells bed and breakfast, half board, full board and all-inclusive, so the first thing to settle is which plan you are actually on. The gap between bed and breakfast and the plans above it is where the folio grows on an island where you are unlikely to leave for dinner. Ask us to run the arithmetic both ways against your dates; on a short stay the cheaper plan often wins and on a week it usually does not.
Nothing to plan around. The boat runs at any hour, so an early flight home does not cost you a night the way it would on a seaplane island. Twenty minutes back to Velana also means you can leave the island late.
Whatever sits outside your meal plan, then the spa, diving and the excursions. Because the transfer is short and cheap relative to a seaplane, more of your budget stays on the island here than at a comparable resort further out, which is worth weighing when you compare headline rates.
