Worth choosing the resort for. One or two caveats on entry point or current.
Adults only, and the reef is better than the setting suggests. You go down the water villa steps straight onto live coral, and there is shore entry near the gym and the Viu bar, where the fish feeding happens. Reef sharks, turtles and stingrays are all regularly reported, and a semi-submarine runs over the coral for anyone who does not swim. Wind and current build through the afternoon, so mornings are the window and lifeguards patrol. Being this close to Male takes away the view: shipping lanes, industrial islands and reclamation machinery are visible from one side.
