You will enjoy it. You would not cross an atoll for it.
A young resort, and the reef is a patch by the water villas rather than something you can circle. Guests snorkelling straight off the villa ladders report parrotfish, clownfish and the occasional octopus or dolphin, and it is pleasant, but several say plainly that anything more serious means taking a boat out. The current under the villas runs strong and the water is deep there. The sand is coarser than the Maldives postcard and floating debris has been reported. Beach villas front sand rather than coral. Treat this as a lagoon island with an excursion programme.
