Worth choosing the resort for. One or two caveats on entry point or current.
A very small island with the reef immediately off it, and steps from the water villas put you straight onto it. Guests who have snorkelled all over the Maldives single this one out for the number of blacktip reef sharks, with eagle rays and turtles regular too. The coral is sharp at the entry, so reef shoes or fins are worth packing. Vadoo sits on the edge of a channel, which is usually why the fish life is this good, but it also means current, and we would check conditions with the dive centre before a weaker swimmer goes in.
