Worth choosing the resort for. One or two caveats on entry point or current.
The reef runs right around the island, and on the north side, behind the main restaurant and a little to the right, it sits a few metres off the sand. That is the stretch to swim. Blacktips are close to a daily event, with turtles, moray eels, rays and octopus all regularly reported. On the opposite shore you have to swim out to depth before anything happens, so the beach villas on the restaurant side are worth asking for. One guest recently described the seabed there as wrecked, alongside building work on the island, so ask us what the current state is.
