I can't say enough amazing things about this resort and its staff. A big thank you to Salwa and Shurafu at check-in, to Anastasia, Khadija and Sayed at the restaurants who gave us excellent service all week, and to the amazing daily housekeeping provided by Maya. All of the people at the resort were exceptional and these team members stood out the most all week long. We were treated so nicely and loved being here and we really appreciated all the hand written notes from all the staff throughout the week. The villas have private pools and beach views — so gorgeous. The island has 7-8 restaurants with great food options. Breakfast was included with an incredible buffet. The hotel provided 30 minutes free every day of kayaking, snorkelling, or paddle boarding. WiFi is available on the whole island including the beaches. Overall: Worth it. The trip was easy, the people were nice, and it was quiet and serene. Five stars! I'd love to come back.
Our days at this beautiful resort have been filled with so many memories and stories. A big thank you to Nais for always being so prepared and quick to answer all our questions. Staying in the overwater villa felt like heaven on earth. The breathtaking view is something no one should miss. And we can't forget the amazing meals at all the F&B outlets, the complimentary photoshoot, daily wellness classes, and so much more. Everything was outstanding! We highly recommend Sheraton Maldives to anyone visiting the Maldives. We hope to be back again soon!
Food was excellent. Service was great. The staff did a very good job. Liza organised a coconut painting activity for my niece who loves to paint. We were very happy! Thank you Liza!
Our second stay at Sheraton but this time was extra special — celebrating our honeymoon and the birthday of my husband. Thank you to the entire team for making it extra special. To our Housekeeper at Villa 455, to Nadhy the Executive Housekeeper — it was lovely to meet you, by far the only Maldivian Exec Housekeeper I have met. The Anchorage Restaurant team — they got the best food. To the Watersports team, we had fun. To the Spa Team — we felt relaxed with the treatment. To Mirrah, for going the extra mile — top-notch service. We definitely need to come for a third visit.
Little or nothing to snorkel off the beach. Some islands in this band run a free boat to a reef — the note below says whether this one does.
No reef wall here. Furanafushi is close enough to Male that the coral took a beating. What you get instead is patches of regrowing reef and a coral-planting programme run with Reefscapers that you can book onto and take part in. Fish life is better than the coral suggests: blacktips, turtles and stingrays are routine, and there is a wreck dive off the house reef. The current under the water bungalows can be strong enough to make snorkelling hard work, so check before you get in.
Transfers run around the clock, so a late landing does not cost you a night in Malé.
Shared speedboat, running day and night, so any arrival time connects. Boats are scheduled rather than private, so allow a wait at Velana.
