Loud on purpose: one of the biggest kids’ clubs in the Maldives, live entertainment, DJ parties, and a big man-made island to spread it over. Families and groups do well here. Anyone after a hushed adults-only week should look elsewhere.

Three nights in a Beach Pool Villa on half board starts at ₹328,500 for two, all in from Malé. Up to two children under 12 stay free through to 20 December, and bookings close 30 September 2026.

What this actually costs

Pick a villa and a package above and the price covers the whole stay for two adults: the villa and its pool, the meal plan, return shared speedboat transfers, green tax and every other tax. Minimum stay three nights. Flights are not included.

• Most of the October jump is the boat, not the room. A three-night Beach Pool Villa on half board goes from ₹328,500 to ₹416,800 on 1 October. ₹46,300 of that ₹88,300 is the transfer, now at 25% off instead of free. The room itself rises about ₹42,000.
• The family villa is the easiest upgrade on the island. It is ₹12,400 above the Beach Pool Villa on three nights and buys a sofa bed, more outdoor space and a gazebo. Overwater is ₹22,200 above the beach villa, the Overwater Suite ₹79,000.
• Full board is a straight lunch upgrade at USD 100 per adult per night, about ₹20,600 a night for two. Roughly what lunch here costs anyway, so take it only if you will sit down every day.

Not on the dropdown, but we will book them: the two-bedroom beach and overwater villas, priced on four guests rather than two, and The Residence, a six-bedroom house. A split stay needs two consecutive nights in each category.

Who this isn’t for

Anyone wanting a hushed adults-only island. Amingiri is large and lively, with one of the biggest kids’ clubs in the Maldives and DJ parties. It is man-made and 20 minutes from Velana, so you will not feel remote and the reef is still young.

That reef has a name, Neru Faru, and it is a real North Malé dive site. But guests report that only one side of the overwater villas faces it, and snorkelling is not permitted on the other. If the water is the point, ask us which side your villa sits on before you commit.

Before you book

• Children. Two under 12 stay free to 20 December, meals and transfers included, though green tax of USD 12 per person per night still applies. It stops dead at 12: a child of 12 to 17.99 costs USD 181 a night plus USD 300 for transfers. Tell us the ages at enquiry.
• Cancellation. Full payment falls due 15 days before arrival, and cancelling inside 15 days costs 100% of the invoice. No partial tier. Generous until that mark, unforgiving after it.
• Festive, 21 December 2026 to 9 January 2027, has to be booked by 31 October and carries mandatory galas on top: USD 400 per adult on Christmas Eve, USD 600 on New Year’s Eve. No check-out on 31 December.
