What Our Guests Say

Travellers' Choice 2026 · #1 hotel in Kihavah Huravalhi

Pairidaeza

Our stay at Anantara Kihavah was truly exceptional and easily one of the most memorable resort experiences we've had in the Maldives. From the moment we arrived, the level of service, attention to detail and genuine warmth from the entire team stood out. A special mention must go to our wonderful butler, whose service was incredible throughout our stay. He was attentive, thoughtful and always one step ahead of us, making everything feel effortless. Our water bungalow was beautifully designed, spacious, extremely comfortable and with a very practical layout. The house reef is absolutely incredible — exceptionally healthy, vibrant and full of marine life. For anyone who loves snorkelling and the ocean, this is a very special place.

Blissful Kihavah!

My husband, 23 year old daughter and I have just enjoyed a blissful week at gorgeous Anantara Kihavah. For context, we have stayed at 9 other Maldivian resorts. The island is spectacularly beautiful — gorgeous jungly interior with majestically tall palms, all beautifully maintained, ringed by a soft sand beach and then by a truly exceptional reef. The reef circles the whole island and the coral is diverse, abundant and healthy. It is a very fishy reef. On most snorkelling jaunts we saw a turtle or two and a shark or two. We saw a couple of eels and three octopuses during our stay, and frequently saw rays around our water villa.

Best honeymoon trip ever

Our honeymoon at Anantara Kihavah was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, the service, hospitality, and attention to detail were exceptional. Every single person went above and beyond to make our stay incredibly special. A huge thank you to the Dive Centre team for making our underwater experiences so enjoyable and unforgettable. And to our wonderful host, thank you for taking such great care of us and making sure every detail of our honeymoon was perfect. We left with beautiful memories, full hearts, and a genuine appreciation for everyone who made it so.

Nurse shark adventure

The resort lives up to the reputation. It should be one of the best on everything except the food, even the specialty night. However room service is great.

Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas

Regular price₹ 535,100
/
Double occupancy, complimentary half board, return shared seaplane transfers included, TCS extra · valid until 30 Sep 2026

Anantara Kihavah’s India rate covers stays between 1 August and 10 October 2026, and it is the strongest package we have seen from this resort. Half board for two, return shared seaplane transfers and one four-course lunch for two at SEA, the underwater restaurant, are all inside the price. Three nights in a Beach Pool Villa is ₹535,100 for two, all in from Malé.

Bookings close 30 September 2026, and the minimum stay is three nights.

What this actually costs

Every figure above is the total for two adults for the whole stay: the villa, half board for two, the return seaplane and taxes. Flights to Malé are not included.

  • The SEA lunch carries the offer. On the resort’s own supplement list a five-course lunch there is US$466 per adult, so that one inclusion is worth more than the step between most villa categories.
  • The Overwater Pool Villa and the One Bedroom Family Beach Pool Villa price identically. A couple who wants the water and a family who wants the space pay the same, so choose on what you want, not on cost.
  • There is no length-of-stay discount hidden here. The step from three nights to four costs roughly what the step from five to six costs. Extra nights cost what they cost.
  • Meal plans are food only. Drinks are not included with dinner, and Kihavah is not a cheap island to drink on. At FIRE, or at SEA beyond your included lunch, you get a US$50 per person credit towards the bill rather than a free meal.

Also outside the price: alcohol and soft drinks, lunch, the spa, excursions and in-villa dining. Budget for the bar honestly.

Who this isn’t for

Anyone who wants a wristband and an open bar. This is half board, not all-inclusive, and by day three the drinks bill tells. Its lowest TripAdvisor sub-score is value, and that is why. Ask and we will put two or three genuine all-inclusives next to it.

Families who need two rooms. The Two Bedroom villas and the Residences are not part of this offer, so we price those separately.

Hesitant swimmers, and anyone wanting nightlife. There is none here beyond a cocktail under the stars, and most of what makes Kihavah special is happening in the water. The reef circles the whole island, so you get in wherever you like. The sand is grittier than the photographs suggest, which is the price of a reef that close in.

Before you book

  • The seaplane is 35 minutes to Baa Atoll and flies in daylight only, so an evening arrival into Malé means a night in the city before you reach the island. Book a morning flight from India and you keep the resort night you paid for.
  • Beyond two people per villa: children 0 to 11 pay no accommodation supplement, only US$12 green tax a night, and an extra adult of 12 and over is US$300 a day including the bed and green tax. Seaplane seats are US$425 for children and US$850 from 12.
  • Booking closes 30 September 2026. It does not combine with any other offer, and two nights or fewer drops back to the standard rates with breakfast only.

Tell us your dates and your villa and we will come back with a transfer-inclusive costing, including what the drinks will realistically add. Message our Maldives specialists on WhatsApp or send us an enquiry. We reply within 24 hours.

House reef 5/5 Exceptional

Live coral within swimming distance of the beach, reliably good fish life, safe entry.

The Golden Wall is the resort's own name for the house reef, and it is why a lot of our repeat divers pick Kihavah over anything else in Baa. The reef rings the whole island, so you get in wherever you like rather than queuing at one ladder. A marine survey the resort commissioned between 2022 and 2023 recorded over 300 fish species and more than 130 corals, and it was published as a book, Wonders of Kihavah. Guests report turtles and reef sharks on most snorkels, plus eels, octopus and rays off the water villas. There is a resident marine biologist, with weekly sessions and coral adoption programmes available on request. The trade-off is the sand, which is grittier than the brochure suggests. That is what a reef this close to the beach does.
