Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu in Baa Atoll has shared its festive plans for 2026–27, a run of October events, and a festive-season offer with a booking deadline of 15 October.

This year's festive programme is built around Maldivian heritage rather than a European Christmas. Expect local flavours, traditional customs and ocean-inspired experiences, with nature-led activities for all ages. The island sits inside the Baa Atoll UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and the programme leans on that setting. It builds to a New Year's Eve celebration and carries on into the first week of January.
October on the island
20 October, International Chefs' Day. An evening with the resort's kitchen team, festive cake mixing and a kitchen takeover.
26 October, World Sustainability Day. A picnic on Embudhoo Island, coral planting and other sustainability-led activities.
31 October, Halloween. Pumpkin carving, face painting, a barbecue and a DJ night themed on Maldivian ghost folklore.
What it means for your stay
For families travelling over Christmas and New Year, Roots & Tides is a gentler, more local alternative to a gala-dinner programme, and the coral planting and nature activities suit children well. In October, Halloween is the date for families; Sustainability Day suits anyone who wants time on the reef.
A festive offer is running
Coco Palm Dhuni Kolhu has a festive-season offer for stays from 1 December 2026 to 31 January 2027, booked by 15 October 2026. Half-board stays are upgraded to all-inclusive, one child under 12 stays and dines free, and each stay includes a choice of a group dolphin cruise or a guided group snorkelling trip, plus a saving on spa treatments. Until 4 January 2027 it applies to Deluxe Villas, Lagoon Villas and Sunset Lagoon Villas; from 5 January 2027 Island Lagoon Villas and Grand Sunset Lagoon Villas are added.
