Conrad Maldives Rangali Island was an absolute thrill when we visited late January 2017. The two big islands connected by that footbridge make the place feel vast, with so much open space to wander and discover. Dining underwater at Ithaa while rays and reef sharks glide above your table is iconic, and it is still going strong. The snag: walking across the bridge under midday heat can feel surprisingly taxing. Best for active travelers who love variety, sprawling layouts, and unique spectacles.
