About the resort
RAH GILI Maldives is a new island in South Malé Atoll, 40 minutes from Velana by the resort's own speedboat, and every overwater villa has a slide into the lagoon. Boats run around the clock, so there is no cut-off for your flight and no night in Malé.
It is built with Indian guests in mind. Tiffin, one of seven places to eat and drink, cooks from kitchens right across India, and every price here is half board: breakfast and dinner daily. Six kinds of villa are priced on this page, on the beach and over the water, plus stays that split four nights between the two.
What you pay
Every price is for the whole stay: the villa for three or four nights, breakfast and dinner, the return speedboat and every Maldivian tax. It is for two people in the one-bedroom villas and four adults in the two-bedroom villas. The green season is noticeably gentler than the run up to Christmas.
A split stay gives you two nights on the beach and two over the water for about the same as four nights in one villa. Full board and a limited all-inclusive can be added, and we price them on request.
What's included, and what isn't
In the price: the villa, breakfast and dinner daily, the return speedboat from Velana and every Maldivian tax.
Not in the price: lunch, drinks, your international flights, travel insurance, Indian TCS, and anything not named above.
Who this isn't for
Anyone who wants a resort with years of reviews behind it. RAH GILI Maldives is new, and the service is still settling in. Most guests write about warm butlers and good food, but a few have had a slow start.
Families with toddlers who want to stay over the water should think twice. The slide drops straight into open lagoon, and parents with young children in the water villas sign a safety form at check-in. The beach villas, with their own pools, are the easier choice.

The speedboat takes 40 minutes and runs day and night, but the resort groups guests arriving around the same time onto one boat. The wait at the airport is not guaranteed, and one guest reported waiting three hours. Send us your flight times and we will ask the resort to plan around them.
The one-bedroom villas sleep three adults, or two adults and a child. The two-bedroom villas sleep four adults, or two adults and two children. The festive period is not priced on this page.

Is there Indian food at RAH GILI Maldives?
Yes. Tiffin is the island's Indian restaurant, and it serves dishes from the north, west and south of India in traditional tiffin tiers. There are six other places to eat and drink, including Juliette for all-day dining, Maakeyolhu for Maldivian seafood, La Tavola for Italian and Spicy Ginger for Asian food.
Can I split my stay between two villas?
Yes. Four-night split stays are priced on this page: two nights on the beach and two over the water, in either the standard or the sunset villas, and a two-bedroom version for four adults. A split comes to about the same as four nights in one villa.
