You will enjoy it. You would not cross an atoll for it.
Snorkelling here happens inside a marked, protected area, because the current beyond the reef is strong enough that swimming past it is not allowed. Inside that zone it is genuinely good, with a resident turtle, rays, small sharks and a lot of fish, and sharks come to the lights at night near the pier and the overwater restaurant. Guests split hard on the coral, some calling it largely dead and others delighted, so treat condition as unsettled. The better snorkelling is sold as a charged boat trip to the far side. This is a large island with its own airstrip.
