You will enjoy it. You would not cross an atoll for it.
There is a real reef edge here with dependable fish, and the water villa side is where you get in. The catch is the setting. Kandooma sits on a channel, so current is a genuine consideration rather than a footnote, part of the shoreline is fenced and unswimmable, and the lagoon goes too shallow to enjoy at low tide. A complimentary snorkelling boat runs daily and does real work covering the gaps, although guests report it running short and crowding around a single turtle. Boat traffic clouds the water. Ask us which side your villa faces.
