A Perfect Paradise!

We had an amazing stay at Emerald Maldives! Everything exceeded our expectations. The island is absolutely beautiful, the water is crystal clear, and the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. Feel special in paradise

Our family — my wife, our two sons aged 21 and 19, and I — spent a few days at Emerald Maldives. Everything can be summed up in one word: unbeatable. This is as close to paradise as you will find anywhere on planet Earth. The island and the hotel are wonderful, and the staff have the remarkable ability to strike the perfect balance between personalised attention and respect for your privacy and relaxation. Emerald sits on a private island in Raa Atoll, in the north, and it runs as a Deluxe All-Inclusive house and a member of The Leading Hotels of the World. Every price above is one villa, two adults sharing, four nights, with the return seaplane and the green tax already inside the number.

Two things are worth more than the brochure makes of them: dinner is à la carte rather than buffet-by-default, and vegetarian and Indian menus run in every restaurant, not one corner of the buffet.

What this actually costs

Pick your villa and your travel dates from the two dropdowns and the price updates to that combination. Every applicable tax is already inside it and nothing is added at check-out.

Three of the seven options are split stays, two nights in one villa and two in another. They are the sensible way into a water villa with pool without paying for four nights of it. The resort can swap the order to suit availability, without notice.
One excursion is included, your choice of the Lucky Dolphin Trip or the Lucky Sunset Fishing Trip. On the standard all-inclusive an excursion needs a seven-night stay, so at four nights this is a real addition.
Dinner is unlimited dine-around, every night. Amázónico for South American, Le Asiatique for Asian, Beach Club Grill for Italian, all à la carte, or the AQUA buffet. Not one speciality night out of four.
One child aged 2 to 13.99 sharing with parents in a one-bedroom villa is free on accommodation. Green tax and the seaplane are still payable for them, and a second child is chargeable.
Fewer than four nights, or extra nights on top, price at the extra nightly rate plus the seaplane and are not on the dropdown. Ask and we will put those numbers in your costing.

Who this isn’t for

Anyone who wants to settle up late. Full payment is due at least ten days before arrival, and cancelling inside ten days forfeits 100%. Tighter than most islands here, so buy the insurance when you book.

Anyone landing in Malé in the evening. The transfer is a seaplane and seaplanes fly in daylight only, so a late arrival costs you a night in the capital at your own expense.

Anyone needing more room than the base occupancy allows. A one-bedroom villa takes two adults and two children, or three adults and one child, and no more.

Before you book

Honeymoon amenities need a four-night stay, which this is. A 60-minute massage for two, champagne on arrival, a romantic beach dinner and bed and bath decoration. The wedding has to be within twelve months and the certificate is presented at check-in, not mentioned at booking.
Anniversary stays get champagne, bed and bath decoration and a cake. Ask when you enquire, not on the island.
The Dolphin Kids Club runs for ages 3 to 12 at no charge, and padel and tennis are free during the day.
Indian market, new bookings only. The resort can revoke or modify the offer at any time, though a booking already confirmed stays confirmed.

House reef 3/5 Fine

You will enjoy it. You would not cross an atoll for it.

One good spot rather than a reef you can circle. The water outside the Aqua restaurant is the place, about twenty metres out, light current, shallow entry, fine for a first-time snorkeller, with resident baby sharks and good fish. Coral took a heavy hit from bleaching and from the building of the resort, and visibility drops when the current stirs the sand. Off the water villas it is an out-and-back, not a loop.

Last arrival that works 15:00

Land at Velana after 15:00 and the last transfer of the day will have gone, which means a night in Malé before you reach the island.

There is a second way in. Domestic flight to Ifuru + speedboat, about 60 min, for arrivals at Velana up to 16:40.

Shared seaplane, daylight only. Land at Velana in the evening and you spend a night in Malé first, so send us your flights and we will check the connection before you book.
