Fine
One good spot rather than a reef you can circle. The water outside the Aqua restaurant is the place, about twenty metres out, light current, shallow entry, fine for a first-time snorkeller, with resident baby sharks and good fish. Coral took a heavy hit from bleaching and from the building of the resort, and visibility drops when the current stirs the sand. Off the water villas it is an out-and-back, not a loop.

Memorable, worth it!
Exceptional. I went with my wife for two weeks and came home with a small village of new friends. We got to know everyone who looked after us by name.

About the resort
Emerald Maldives serves vegetarian and Indian menus in every one of its restaurants, not only at the buffet. For vegetarian and Indian families, that settles a lot. Emerald Maldives sits on Fasmendhoo Island in Raa Atoll, 40 minutes from Velana by seaplane.
Every price here is four nights, deluxe all-inclusive, for two. This package also adds a boat trip the resort normally keeps for guests staying seven nights.
What you pay
Pick your dates and a villa and the price is the whole stay for two: four nights in the villa, deluxe all-inclusive, the return shared seaplane and every Maldivian tax, green tax included.
The later high-season dates are cheaper than the earliest ones on every villa. Four nights in a Water Villa then is the lowest price on this page.
The pool water villa is the one to look at. On every date here a Water Villa with Pool is priced exactly level with a Beach Villa without one, so the water and the pool come for nothing.
The split stays are for the change of scene, not to save. Each prices between the two villas it combines.
Four nights is the package. Shorter stays and extra nights are not priced on this page. Ask us and we will add them.
What's included, and what isn't
In the price: your villa for four nights, all meals with dinner at Amazónico, Le Asiatique, Beach Club Grill or the AQUA buffet, beer, wine, selected cocktails and soft drinks all day, a daily minibar, one dolphin trip or sunset fishing trip, non-motorised water sports and snorkel gear, the fitness centre, the return shared seaplane, and every Maldivian tax including green tax.
Not in the price: your international flights, travel insurance, drinks outside the plan, jet skis and other motorised water sports, the spa, diving, Indian TCS, and anything not named above.
Who this isn't for
Snorkellers who want a reef to circle. The good snorkelling at Emerald Maldives is one spot, about twenty metres out from the AQUA restaurant. It is shallow and gentle, with resident baby sharks. The coral took a heavy hit from bleaching and building work, and off the water villas it is an out-and-back swim.
Anyone landing at Velana after 15:00. Seaplanes fly in daylight only. A domestic flight to Ifuru and a speedboat takes about an hour and works for landings up to about 16:40. Any later and your first night is in Malé. Send us your flights and we will check.
Groups bigger than one villa takes. A villa takes two adults and two children, or three adults and one child, and no more.
Before you book
Honeymooners get a massage for two, champagne, a beach dinner and a decorated villa. The wedding must be within twelve months, and the certificate is shown at check-in. Anniversaries get champagne, decoration and a cake.
One child under 14 stays free sharing with two adults. Their seaplane and green tax are still charged, and a second child is charged. The Dolphin Kids Club takes ages 3 to 12.
These prices are for travellers from India. Christmas and New Year are not priced on this page. We can still book them.

We arrived on a rainy afternoon, so we had to cocoon ourselves inside the villa for a while before we could finally step out and explore.The food—and the sheer variety—completely bowled us over. Where is Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa?
Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa is on Fasmendhoo Island in Raa Atoll, in the north of the Maldives. The seaplane from Velana International Airport takes about 40 minutes, and the return seaplane is in every price on this page. It is not the same island as its sister resort, Emerald Faarufushi, which has its own page.

Breakfast at AQUA, lunch at Beach Club Grill or AQUA, and dinner at Amazónico, Le Asiatique, Beach Club Grill or the AQUA buffet, with vegetarian and Indian menus at every restaurant. Where do you eat at Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa?
Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa has four restaurants and two cafés. AQUA is the buffet, with live cooking stations. Beach Club Grill serves grilled seafood and meat, pizza, salads and pasta. Le Asiatique (Asian) and Amazónico (South American, with live cooking) open for dinner. Sunset Café is over the water, and Sunset Pool Café serves snacks by the pool all day. Vegetarian and Indian menus are offered at every restaurant.
Is an excursion included at Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa?
Yes, one. Every price on this page includes one excursion: a dolphin trip or a sunset fishing trip. On the resort's standard all-inclusive you would need to stay seven nights for that, so on this four-night package it is a real extra. Trips run subject to the weather. Further excursions are charged; tell us which you want and we will price them for your dates.
Is there a spa at Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa?
Yes. The Emerald Spa has private treatment rooms, a steam room, a sauna, a yoga pavilion and manicure and pedicure stations, with Thai and Indonesian therapies and a salon on site. Spa treatments are not in the price. Honeymooners on this package get a massage for two, as long as the wedding is within twelve months and the certificate is shown at check-in.
What sports and activities are there at Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa?
Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa has a Technogym fitness centre with trainers, a tennis court, a padel court and a football field. The water sports centre runs motorised sports such as jet skis, and there is a PADI five-star dive centre. The fitness centre and non-motorised water sports are in the price; motorised water sports and diving are not. Ask us about tennis and padel on your dates.
Is Emerald Maldives Resort & Spa good for families?
Yes. The Dolphin Kids Club takes children aged 3 to 12, with multilingual staff, indoor and outdoor activities and its own mini pool. A villa takes two adults and two children, or three adults and one child. One child under 14 stays free sharing with two adults, though their seaplane and green tax are charged. Two-bedroom villas are not priced on this page, so ask us if you need more room.
