COMO Maalifushi is the only resort in Thaa Atoll, an hour south of Malé by seaplane, and the quietest island COMO runs. Every villa on this page has its own pool.

Three nights for two in a Beach Suite with Private Pool from October to 19 December, with half board, the return seaplane and every tax, comes to ₹556,900.

What you pay

Pick your dates, a villa and a meal plan and the price is the whole stay for two: the villa, your meals, the return seaplane and every tax, green tax included. Nothing more is payable at the resort for those.

Half board is breakfast and a three-course lunch or dinner each day. Full board adds the other meal, and on three nights it adds ₹37,100.

The seaplane is the big fixed part. It is the same on three nights as on seven, which is why a short stay here reads dear per night against a speedboat island. Five or seven nights spreads it.

An all-inclusive plan and the two, three and four bedroom villas are sold too. They are not priced on this page, but we can book them.

What's included, and what isn't

In the price: your villa for two, the meals on your plan, the return seaplane, access to COMO Shambhala with its steam room, sauna, gym and six yoga classes a week, non-motorised water sports, snorkel gear, and every Maldivian tax including green tax.

Not in the price: your international flights, travel insurance, drinks, spa treatments, excursions, the compulsory New Year's Eve gala dinner, Indian TCS, and anything not named above.

Who this isn't for

Anyone landing at Malé in the evening. The seaplane flies in daylight only and the last take-off is 16:30, and there is no boat this far south. Land late and you spend a night in the city first.

Anyone who wants somewhere else to go. COMO Maalifushi is alone in its atoll, so there is no neighbouring island to hop to. The quiet is the point. From roughly March to October the surf brings a livelier crowd.

Before you book

Full payment is due 14 days before arrival. Half the stay is charged from 14 days out and all of it from seven. Late arrivals, no-shows and early departures are charged in full.

20 December to 5 January is not priced on this page. The plan drops to breakfast only, the New Year's Eve gala is US$700 per adult and compulsory, and nobody checks out on 30 or 31 December.

Each villa takes four at most. Two children under 12 stay free in their parents' villa on the same meal plan, and you can pair a stay here with COMO Cocoa Island on one trip until 20 December.

Worth choosing the resort for. One or two caveats on entry point or current.

Good marine life over coral that has not recovered well. You get in from the jetty steps or the walkway into the coral garden, a sheltered shallow area ringed by water villas, rather than off the sand, because the island sits on a wide lagoon table. Blacktips and the two resident hawksbill turtles are close to a certainty, and guests also report eagle rays, Napoleon wrasse and big schooling fish. Snorkelling stays inside the marker buoys. Gear is free and the weekly marine biologist talk is included, but the guided two-site reef trip is charged. Water villas on the coral garden sit closest.

How do I get to COMO Maalifushi? +

COMO Maalifushi is located on Thaa Atoll in the southern Maldives. Guests fly from Malé International Airport (MLE) on a 45-minute domestic flight to Thimarafushi Airport (TMF), followed by a short speedboat transfer to the resort. Our team will meet you at Malé arrivals and assist throughout your journey.
