Island Escape — the Middle East, India and South East Asia rate

COMO Maalifushi has released its Island Escape package for stays to 19 December 2026. Three nights on breakfast plus a three-course lunch or dinner for two, with return shared seaplane transfers, a 60-minute COMO Shambhala massage and a 30-minute photo shoot inside the rate. Three nights in a Beach Suite with Private Pool comes to ₹4,40,600 for two people, all in from Malé.

Pick your villa, then pick your length of stay and dates. Four, five and six nights are priced from the resort's own extra-night rate.

The only resort in Thaa Atoll

Maalifushi sits alone in Thaa Atoll, well south of the airport and a long way from anything else. That isolation is the point: it is the quietest of the COMO islands and it has the surf breaks largely to itself. The trade-off is a 60-minute seaplane, which flies in daylight only — land at Malé after about 15:00 and you overnight in the city before you reach the island. Book a morning flight from India and you keep the night you paid for.

What this actually costs

Every figure is the total for two adults for the whole stay, including the villa, the meal plan, return shared seaplane transfers for two, the 10% service charge, government taxes and green tax. International flights are not included.

Two things worth reading off those. The four categories converge in October–December — only ₹51,000 separates the entry Beach Suite from the top Water Villa on three nights, against ₹66,300 in the green season. If you want the water villa, the later window is where it is cheapest to move up. And the extra-night rate is where the value sits: a fourth night on the Beach Suite costs about ₹62,000, well under the per-night average of the three-night package.

Upgrading the meal plan

The rate is half board in substance — breakfast and one three-course meal a day. Two upgrades, both per stay for two adults:

• Full board — USD 360, about ₹37,000 on three nights, and the same whichever season.
• Simply COMO all-inclusive — USD 2,094 in the green season, USD 2,550 from October, so roughly ₹2,15,000 to ₹2,62,000.

All-inclusive here is unusually complete: three-course lunches at Thila or Tai and dinners at Madi, Tai or Thila, weekly themed dinners, an ice cream cart, COMO's own wine and Champagne selection by the glass, cocktails and spirits across every bar, daily sundowners at Thila with Mediterranean tapas and live music, an in-villa bar restocked daily, and a set of experiences — splash net boat cruise, dolphin sunset cruise, offshore drop-line fishing once per guest, guided turtle and reef snorkelling safaris, catamaran sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and paddleboarding. On a longer stay with a drinking couple it earns its price; on three quiet nights it will not.

Wellness and the surf

COMO Shambhala is the reason a lot of guests choose this island: Finnish sauna, steam room, plunge pool, relaxation lounge, gym, a padel court, and daily group fitness, yoga and meditation, all included. The 60-minute massage inside the package is a proper treatment, not a taster.

Maalifushi is also one of the few Maldives resorts with genuine surf on its doorstep, which is why the island fills with a different crowd between roughly March and October.

Children and extra guests

Maximum occupancy is four people using one extra bed and one day bed. An infant under two is complimentary — no seaplane charge and no green tax. A child aged 2 to 11.99 sharing with parents takes the same meal plan as the parents. Extra-child package supplements exclude the massage. Extra adults and children carry per-stay and per-night supplements; send us your party and we will price it properly.

Who this isn't for

Anyone landing at Malé in the evening. A 60-minute daylight-only seaplane is unforgiving, and there is no late boat alternative this far south.

It is also the wrong island if you want plenty to do off-resort. Maalifushi is the only resort in its atoll, so there are no neighbouring islands to hop to and no local island a short boat ride away. The quiet is the product.

Cancellation and payment

• Full payment must reach the resort at least 14 days before arrival.
• Cancelling between 14 and 8 days before arrival: 50% of the rate.
• Cancelling within 7 days of arrival: 100%.
• Late arrivals, no-shows and early departures are charged in full, without exception.
