A perfect first stay at Dhawa Ihuru

Our seventh trip to the Maldives — and our best yet. 14 nights in two Beachfront Jet Pool Villas with Premium All-Inclusive. The house reef was wonderful: varied corals, reef sharks, clownfish, and a sleeping turtle on a night snorkel. Food was excellent — four-course à la carte meals changing daily. The island was the best maintained of any Maldivian resort we have visited. Every member of staff was genuinely committed to making our stay special. Nothing to fault.

Amazing Trip

Our experience was excellent — the children thoroughly enjoyed their stay. The staff was friendly, and the food was exceptionally tasty. The beach was delightful, and we had the opportunity to see several sharks, fish, and a turtle. Ideal for snorkelling. We hope to visit again soon.

Dhawa Ihuru ticks all the boxes — privacy in cosy beachfront villas, a friendly island community, great snorkelling on the house reef or a 5-minute boat ride to Banyan Tree, and varied, delicious cuisine. The spa is fantastic. The staff — Husham, Vijam, Elena, Sujeena, Adam and the whole team — make this place truly special. You'll want to go back more than once. We did!

House reef 5/5 Exceptional

Live coral within swimming distance of the beach, reliably good fish life, safe entry.

The reef circles the island about fifteen metres off the beach, and it takes an hour and a half to snorkel round an island you can walk in ten minutes. Gentle current, clear water, safe entry. This is the one we would send a nervous swimmer to. Turtles, blacktips and rays daily, and the Rannamaari wreck sits off the reef edge at around twenty-six metres for divers. There is no pool on the island at all, which is deliberate: you swim in the sea or you do not swim.
