What you pay

Pick a villa, a length and a meal plan above. The price is for two adults sharing, and nothing more is payable for the villa, the seaplane or the tax.

The Heavenly Overwater Villa Pool runs about two fifths above the Beach Villa Pool on four nights of half board.

Full board adds about thirteen per cent over half board on four nights. All inclusive is quotable, so ask us rather than assuming the step is worth it.

Beyond that we price the festive dates on request.

What’s included, and what isn’t

In the price: the villa, the return seaplane for two, breakfast and dinner, or all three meals on full board, the green tax for two, and every other Maldivian tax.

Not in the price: your international flights, travel insurance, all drinks, the spa, Indian TCS, and anything not named above.

Two children up to 15.99 stay and eat free on their parents’ plan, paying only their own transfer and green tax. Eleven is the usual cut-off in the Maldives, so this is unusually generous.

Marriott Bonvoy points are not earned on rates booked this way.

Who this isn’t for

Anyone travelling with a child who wants the cheapest villa. The 140 sqm Beach Villa Pool takes two adults and an infant and nothing else. The Westin keeps a twin-bedded Family Beach Villa Pool that does take two children, and a Family Deluxe a tier up. Ask for those by name.

Anyone landing late. The seaplane flies in daylight only, and the domestic connection is not guaranteed the same day.

Anyone whose dates fall outside the short window priced here. Other dates are quotable but they are not on the list above.

Before you book

Thirty minutes by seaplane, daylight only, with The Westin’s own lounge at the terminal and check-in done there. Flights are timed to international arrivals, so the wait can run long.

The alternative is a 25-minute flight to Dharavandhoo and a 15-minute speedboat, and the resort takes a little off a stay for two who travel that way.

The Christmas Eve dinner on 24 December is optional here, not compulsory. That is rare in the Maldives, and it is why this page runs a little further into the festive period than most.
