Raa Atoll, forty minutes by seaplane. Every villa has a private pool, and there is a water park, floodlit tennis and six places to eat.

There is a cliff on 21 December. Until then the Getaway offer puts the return seaplane, half board and a list of extras inside one price. From 10 January the same water villa for five nights goes from ₹419,900 to ₹712,100, which is 70% more. If your dates can move, move them before Christmas.

What this actually costs

Every price above is the villa at base occupancy on half board, with the return seaplane and every tax already inside it. Nothing further is payable for the room, the flights or the tax. Minimum stay three nights.

• The Getaway is worth more than it looks. Priced off the resort's standard rates instead, those same five nights in the entry water villa would be ₹660,700, against the ₹419,900 the offer charges. Nothing replaces it after 21 December 2026.
• January to April is the resort's own peak, and there is a lever. Book at least sixty days ahead and the resort takes 25% off the villa, which brings those five nights from ₹712,100 to ₹589,900. It turns on the day you book, not the day you travel, so it is not in the prices above.
• On January dates you can swap the seaplane for the domestic flight and save a further ₹36,000, on any length of stay.
• Two children under twelve stay and eat free, all year, sharing with parents on the same plan. They pay their transfer and the green tax and nothing else: on five nights in the beach villa the pair adds ₹73,400.

Not on the dropdown, but we will book them: full board, premium all inclusive (₹174,900 more for two on five nights to 31 October, and the plan that changes the holiday), and the festive window.

Who this isn’t for

Anyone landing at Malé after 15:30 who wants a Getaway package. The seaplane is built into it and flies only between 06:30 and 15:30. Plan the international flight around a daytime landing.

Anyone taking a child under twelve into an overwater villa. The resort does not allow it unless a parent signs a disclaimer at check-in. Book the beach villa, which is the bigger room anyway.

Anyone travelling 22 December to 9 January, priced separately with a four-night minimum and no check-out on 30 or 31 December or 1 January. And anyone chasing World of Hyatt points, because these rates do not earn them.

Before you book

• Free cancellation up to seven days before arrival on the Getaway dates, payment due fourteen days out, full stay charged inside six days. The January to April dates run on standard terms: free to 21 days out in high season, 14 in shoulder and low.
• The festive supplements are gone. The resort has removed the compulsory gala charges on both 24 and 31 December, for villa occupants and extra guests alike.
• Outside the offer, the domestic route answers a late arrival: a 20 minute flight to Dharavandhoo then a 25 minute speedboat, and it runs at night. A third adult is costly, because the price carries their seaplane seat. Check in 14:00, check out 12:00.
