Pullman paradise

The Pullman was a great stay! The staff were very friendly and always accommodating. The sealife was amazing and the villa was sensational. One outstanding employee that always made sure we were comfortable and looked after us so well was Moin. He always engaged with us and made sure we were always looked after.

The best holiday where we were spoilt

The most fabulous holiday in every way. We did not want for anything while here. Hussain Ali looked after us extremely well and all the Pullman Staff were efficient and friendly and nothing was a bother for them. We will definitely be back to this most beautiful island.

Fantastic all-inclusive resort

We had a fantastic 5 night stay in the ocean villa with sunset view. Snorkelling was definitely the highlight — we saw many manta rays, turtles and reef sharks just around our villa. The staff were amazing and we really appreciated their friendliness and thoughtfulness.

Regular price₹ 462,700
/
Double occupancy, premium all-inclusive, return domestic flight and speedboat transfers, all taxes included except TCS · book by 23 Dec 2026 · stays 1 Apr to 23 Dec 2026

Pullman Maamutaa sits 370 km south of Malé in Gaafu Alifu Atoll: a 55-minute domestic flight to Kooddoo, then fifteen minutes by speedboat. That distance is the point: the reefs down here carry a fraction of the boat traffic they do around Malé, and the all-inclusive plan is the most generous we sell. Every price here already carries the flight, the speedboat, green tax and every other tax.

What this actually costs

Pick a villa and a length above and the figure is the whole stay, all in from Malé.

  • The transfer is the number people miss. The domestic flight and speedboat are US$700 per adult return, ₹144,100 for two, and the cost does not move with the length of your stay. Children 2 to 11.99 are ₹51,500. Infants on a lap are free.
  • Which is the argument for going long. Three nights in a Beach Villa is ₹462,700 just to walk through the door. A fourth night adds ₹106,200, and nights five to seven together add ₹424,800.
  • Book early and take a quarter off. 20% off at 60 days before arrival, 25% at 90 days, neither over the festive fortnight. On a four-night green-season Beach Villa that brings it to ₹465,200. It turns on when you book, not when you travel, so it is not on the dropdown.
  • Up to two children under six stay and dine free, paying only the US$12 green tax a night from age two. From 6 to 11.99 it is ₹39,900 a night with the all-inclusive plan included.

Premium All-Inclusive covers every meal, premium spirits, cocktails and the minibar. Not the spa, excursions, motorised sports or diving. It runs 14:00 on arrival to 12:00 on departure.

Who this isn’t for

Short trips. The domestic flight eats real hours each way, and three nights loses you most of two days to transit. Five nights is the sensible minimum. This is a flight, not a seaplane.

Anyone after a small, quiet island: 19 hectares, a resident DJ, a live band most evenings.

Families of four on a budget. The standard villas cap at three, so a fourth pushes you into a Family category or a two-bedroom. There are only two of each Family villa here.

Hesitant swimmers. The coral is as good as any we see, but the reef sits well off the sunset side, a twenty-minute swim on a calm day. Do not jump from a water villa deck: shallow, and the current runs.

Before you book

  • Festive is not sold on these prices. 24 December to 5 January runs a five-night minimum, no departures on 31 December, and mandatory gala dinners: ₹65,900 for two on Christmas Eve and ₹123,500 for two on New Year’s Eve. Ask and we will build them.
  • Cancellation. Full payment is due 14 days before arrival, and cancellations inside 14 days are charged in full. Over the festive period both become 45 days.
  • Send your flight numbers at least fourteen days out. Domestic flights are shared and run to a fixed schedule, so a late arrival into Malé can mean a night in the capital before you fly south. Baggage is 20 kg checked, 5 kg hand.

Tell us your dates and who is travelling, and we will send a costing with the early bird applied if you qualify and the transfer shown separately. Message our Maldives specialists on WhatsApp or send us an enquiry. We reply within 24 hours.

House reef 4/5 Strong

Worth choosing the resort for. One or two caveats on entry point or current.

The coral here is in better condition than almost anywhere we see. Guests who have snorkelled a dozen islands rate it their best. The catch is getting to it. The reef sits well off the sunset side, and it is a twenty-minute walk-and-swim on a calm day; the sunrise side faces open ocean and holds mostly fish nurseries. Do not jump from a water villa deck, the water is shallow and the current runs. Strong swimmers will love this island. Hesitant ones should take the boat.

Getting there

Route Domestic flight + speedboat
Journey 70 min, airport to island
Last arrival that works 22:00

Land at Velana after 22:00 and the last transfer of the day will have gone, which means a night in Malé before you reach the island.

A domestic flight, then a short boat. It runs far later than a seaplane, so an evening arrival usually still reaches the island the same day.

Pullman Maldives Maamutaa really nails that sweet spot between fancy and chill. The whole place is lush and green, and you can just hop on a bike to explore the island whenever you feel like...

A day here, honestly

Two things set the shape of your day here: the domestic flight schedule at both ends, and the fact that almost everything on the island is already paid for. This is the opposite of a small island where every decision costs money.

  • Getting here Domestic flight + speedboat, 70 min · latest Velana arrival 22:00
  • Highest plan sold Premium all-inclusive
  • House reef 4 of 5

We would talk you out of 3 nights here. The domestic flight adds real hours in each direction, so on three nights you lose most of two days to travelling. Five is the length this island is built for.

Day 1, arriving

A domestic flight from Velana to Kooddoo, then a short boat. The journey time is real but it is not the whole story, because domestic flights run to a published schedule rather than to your arrival. The wait at Velana between landing and the southbound flight is the part that costs you time. What is true is that this island is far more forgiving of an evening arrival than any seaplane resort. We check your specific flight against the specific Kooddoo schedule before quoting, because the difference is a night.

Do these three things when you land.

  • Check the snorkelling minimum age against your party. It is five.
  • Ask which nights the live band and the DJ are on, so you can choose to be near it or away from it.
  • Reconfirm your return domestic connection now rather than on the last morning.

Days 2 to 3, your full days

Mornings

A strong house reef, with an access note worth reading before you plan a morning around it.

The coral here is in better condition than almost anywhere we see, and guests who have snorkelled a dozen islands rate it their best. The catch is access. The reef sits well off the sunset side, a twenty-minute walk-and-swim on a calm day. The sunrise side faces open ocean and holds mostly fish nurseries. Do not jump in from a water villa deck: the water there is shallow and the current runs.

Strong swimmers
You get the best house reef we know of. Go early, on a calm morning, from the sunset side.
Anyone hesitant in open water
Take the boat. The resort runs one, and we are confirming its schedule and whether it sits inside your plan.

Afternoons

Your plan already includes an hour a day of non-motorised water sports, kayaking and paddleboarding from age five, plus tennis, padel, pickleball, badminton and beach volleyball. Sunrise yoga, aqua aerobics and Zumba run daily and the gym is open around the clock. What the plan does not cover is the part worth budgeting for: excursions, motorised water sports, the spa, babysitting and open-water diving. Diving also needs a valid licence and mandatory insurance, with short-term cover sold at the dive centre.

Evenings

No decisions to make. Every meal is covered across Mélange, Sol Rising, Phat Chameleon and Souq Oven, premium spirits and house wine and beer and cocktails are on the plan, and the minibar is restocked daily. Two limits to know before you arrive. The all-inclusive lunch at the poolside bar is capped at three dishes per person between eleven and two, and anything past that is charged at menu price. And anything ordered before check-in or after check-out is à la carte whatever your plan says, which catches people on the last morning. This is a big island with a resident DJ and a live band most evenings. It has energy, which is why many guests choose it and why some should not.

Day 4, leaving

The domestic flight needs the same buffer in reverse. Reconfirm the connection the evening before and expect to leave the island earlier than your flight time suggests.

What you will still pay

Almost nothing on food and drink, which is the whole point of this island. Your folio is excursions, the spa, diving and motorised water sports. That inverts the usual arithmetic: on a half-board island the drinks line is the surprise, and here it is the excursions line, because the plan makes everything else invisible and the boat trips are not on it.

Who this island's day does not suit

Hesitant swimmers who came for the reef, unless they are happy on a boat. Anyone on a short trip. Anyone who wants a quiet island.

Where in the Maldives

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Pullman Maldives Maamutaa located? +
Pullman Maldives Maamutaa sits on Maamutaa Island in Gaafu Alifu Atoll, roughly 370 km south of Malé. The island is unusual for the Maldives in having a natural freshwater lake, and it is far enough south that the reefs see much less boat traffic than those near the capital.
How do I get to the resort? +
A 55-minute domestic flight from Velana International Airport (MLE) to Kooddoo Airport (GKK), then about ten minutes by speedboat to the island. There is no seaplane transfer. Domestic flights run to a fixed schedule, so a late international arrival into Malé can mean an overnight in the capital before you fly south. Tell us your inbound flight and we will confirm whether you make the same-day connection.
What is included in the All-Inclusive plan? +
The All-Inclusive plan covers all meals across the resort's restaurants (breakfast, lunch & dinner), premium beverages including alcoholic drinks, non-motorised watersports (kayaking, paddleboarding, snorkelling gear), daily fitness classes (yoga, Zumba, aqua aerobics), beach volleyball, tennis, and access to the 24-hour Pullman Fit gym. In-villa mini bar is replenished once daily.
Are there à la carte dining options? +
Yes. Phat Chameleon and Souq Oven both operate à la carte. Items ordered before check-in or after check-out are charged at menu price. Meal plan supplements apply if you are on a plan other than All-Inclusive — ask us for the current figures when we quote, as the resort revises them.
What villa categories are available? +
The resort offers Ocean Pool Villas, Sunset Ocean Pool Villas, and Beach Pool Villas — all featuring private pools, premium furnishings, in-villa mini bars, and butler service. We recommend the Sunset Ocean Pool Villa for couples seeking panoramic west-facing views.
Is the resort suitable for families with children? +
Absolutely. The resort features Kid's Playground for children aged 4 to 11.99 years (open daily 09h00–18h00), babysitting services, and a range of family-friendly activities. Note that excursion benefits apply to guests aged 12 and above.
What are the check-in and check-out times? +
Check-in is at 14h00 and check-out is at 12h00 noon. Early check-in and late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability.
Are long-stay benefits available? +
Yes. Guests staying 7–9 nights receive a sunset cruise or fishing experience, a 30-minute spa add-on, and a USD 20 laundry credit. Guests staying 10 or more nights additionally receive a USD 50 excursion credit per person and a USD 200 Pullman Spa credit per villa. Correct in August 2026; we confirm when we quote.
Is scuba diving available at the resort? +
Yes. A scuba diving trial is available in the main pool upon request. For open-water diving, a valid diving licence is required in accordance with Maldives regulations, and mandatory diving insurance applies. Short-term dive insurance is available at the diving centre at an additional charge.
How do I book or enquire about rates? +
You can reach us directly via WhatsApp for the fastest response and best available rates. Simply click the 'Enquire Now' button on this page and our travel specialists will get back to you promptly.
