House reef

There is a house reef, but it is a long way out from most villas and the closest entry is by the Beach Club, on an island big enough to cycle around. Guests who have snorkelled elsewhere in the Maldives are blunt that this is not where you come for it. What does work is the guided reef trip, which is well organised, and the boat out to a proper snorkelling spot, where the fish life is good. There is a PADI dive centre on the island. Come for the twelve beaches, the space and the food, and treat the reef as an excursion.

About the resort
One&Only Reethi Rah has twelve beaches on a single island in North Malé Atoll, and every villa comes with bicycles, because you will need them. Space is what you are buying here: a great deal of shoreline, and eight restaurants and bars spread across it.
It is also a speedboat resort. The shared boat from Velana takes 45 to 55 minutes and runs around the clock, so a late landing still reaches the island that night. It suits couples and families who want room and good food more than a reef.
What you pay
Pick your dates and a villa and the price is the whole stay for two adults: the villa, breakfast and dinner, the return shared speedboat and the green tax. Three nights is the shortest stay, and only a limited window is priced here.
The earliest dates here are the value window. Three nights in a Beach Villa comes in about a fifth below the high-season price.
The Beach Villa and the Water Villa are the same price on every date. Choose on where you want to wake up, on sand or over the lagoon. The Beach Villa with Pool is the real step up.
Two nights on the beach and two over the water comes to no more than four beach nights. It is not priced on this page, but we can book it, with or without pools.
Book four nights or more before the deadline and the resort may move you up. A Beach Villa or Water Villa can become a Beach Villa with Pool when one is free on your dates. It is confirmed when you book.
What's included, and what isn't
In the price: your villa for two adults, breakfast and dinner daily, the return shared speedboat, green tax, a Personal Host on call around the clock, bicycles, the non-motorised water sports at ClubOne, and once per stay a shared excursion, a photoshoot, a free upgrade from a 60 to a 90-minute massage, and a cocktail or mocktail each at Tapasake.
Not in the price: your international flights, travel insurance, lunch, drinks, even with dinner, the seaplane if you prefer it, diving, spa treatments, Indian TCS, and anything not named above.
Who this isn't for
Snorkellers. The house reef is a long way out from most villas, closest to the Beach Club. The guided reef trip is good, but you are taken to the reef rather than swimming to it.
Families set on a water villa. A child under twelve can only stay in one if a guardian signs a disclaimer. Every one-bedroom villa takes three adults, or two adults and two children.

Two children under twelve stay free on their parents' meal plan, eating from the kids' menu. Their green tax is still charged. There is a KidsOnly club, One Tribe for teenagers, and floodlit tennis and padel.

Where is One&Only Reethi Rah, and how do you get there?
One&Only Reethi Rah is a private island in North Malé Atoll with twelve separate beaches. The boat runs around the clock, so a late landing still reaches the island that night. A seaplane does the same journey in about fifteen minutes, in daylight hours, and is charged on top.
What is included in the price?
The villa for two adults, half board, the return shared speedboat and the green tax. Half board is breakfast and dinner, taken either as a three-course dinner at Earth or as a daily dining credit of US$80 per adult and US$40 per child spent across the restaurants. Drinks are not included on either.
Can children stay free?
Up to two children under twelve stay free on their parents’ meal plan and eat from the kids’ menu at dinner. Their green tax is still charged. One catch worth knowing before you choose a villa: a child under twelve can only stay in a water villa if their guardian signs a disclaimer. On land there is a KidsOnly club, a One Tribe club for teenagers, a football pitch and floodlit tennis and padel courts.
What is the house reef like?
This is the weakest part of the island. The reef sits a long way out from most villas, closest to the Beach Club, and guests who have snorkelled elsewhere in the Maldives are blunt that One&Only Reethi Rah is not where you come for it. What else is included beyond the room and meals?
One shared excursion during the stay, chosen from a list that includes sunrise fishing, a turtle expedition, a reef discovery, shark quest and sunset dolphin encounters. Also a sixty-minute photoshoot, an upgrade from a sixty to a ninety-minute massage for guests over fifteen, and one cocktail or mocktail each at Tapasake.
What are the booking conditions?
Minimum three nights, new bookings only, and up to nine villas on one booking. These prices cover a limited stay window with one closed stretch inside it, so ask us whether your dates are priced. An extra adult is charged, so tell us everyone travelling and we will price the stay.
How big are the villas, and how many people fit?
The Beach Villa is 82 m² inside with 63 m² of terrace. The Water Villa and the Beach Villa with Pool are both 81 m² inside, with 104 m² of deck and 126 m² of outdoor living respectively, and the pool version adds a 23 m² infinity pool. Every one-bedroom villa takes three adults, or two adults and two children. The two-bedroom Grand Beach Villa is 185 m² with a 50 m² pool and sleeps up to six adults.
What comes with every villa?
A Personal Host on call twenty-four hours, bicycles for getting round the island, the non-motorised water sports at ClubOne, and complimentary laundry for children aged two and under. The Grand Beach Villa adds a four-seater buggy of your own, Cristal Champagne or the sommelier’s wine on arrival, daily sunset cocktails and canapés in the villa, and early check-in and late check-out when the resort can manage them.
