What Our Guests Say

Rated Travellers' Choice on TripAdvisor

A Maldivian Marvel

Our recent stay at the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa was our third visit to the resort. We stayed in a luxurious over the water villa, which featured exclusive amenities and a view that any descriptive superlative would fail to do justice. The wonderful and genuine staff were as energetic, enthusiastic and welcoming as our previous visits. The delicious food and beverages were of the highest quality. The Park Hyatt is a veritable paradise — quiet, extremely scenic, with a work ethic second to none. Did I mention the snorkeling and cacophony of colours around the amazing coral reef? A beautiful and serene paradise that tugs at the heart strings ❤️

Comfortable and Ecological

Well located, good snorkelling, ecological environment, oversized room, super large overwater bed, comfortable. Villa Attendant AFROJ was very attentive — cleaned twice a day, plenty of drinking water, towels changed in time, good turndown service with a little dessert surprise every night. Highly recommended.

Romantic Couple Getaway at Hadahaa Maldives

I traveled to Hadahaa Island with my wife in July 2026. This trip was incredibly relaxing and romantic. The island boasts crystal-clear turquoise water and soft white sand with stunning views everywhere. The resort offers great privacy, thoughtful staff, diverse delicious food and well-equipped overwater villas. Snorkeling here is amazing. Watching sunsets with my partner helped us escape all the hustle of city life. An unforgettable perfect holiday for couples.

Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa

Price on enquiry Rates move with season, villa and meal plan. Send us the dates and we'll come back with a full costing, transfers included, within 24 hours.

Park Hyatt Hadahaa sits in Gaafu Alifu Atoll, also called North Huvadhoo, one of the largest and deepest atolls in the world. Reaching it means a domestic flight of 60 to 105 minutes from Malé to Kooddoo, then 30 minutes by speedboat. It is a long way south. The reef is why people accept that.

Fifty villas on a small island, two restaurants and one bar. Quiet by design, and the first hotel in the Maldives certified by EarthCheck for its design and construction.

Getting there

Domestic flight with Maldivian from Velana International (MLE) to Kooddoo Airport (GKK), then 30 minutes by speedboat to the island.

The flight time varies because some services stop at Kadhdhoo to drop off or collect guests for another atoll. A direct routing is about an hour. With the stop it can run to 105 minutes. Ask us to check your date before you book the international leg, because the domestic schedule is what decides whether you arrive in daylight.

For comparison, Pullman Maamutaa uses the same airport and is ten minutes from it by boat. Hadahaa is three times that. Budget the full day at both ends.

The house reef

The reef encircles the island. That is rare. Most resorts have one good stretch and three ordinary ones, and you spend the week swimming to the same corner.

The drop-off sits a short swim out across the coral gardens. You can also reach it directly from the end of either jetty, which is the easier entry and the one we suggest if you are not a strong swimmer. This is the single best reason to choose Hadahaa over somewhere closer to Malé.

What Half Board Plus covers

This is the plan we sell. It is more generous than standard half board, and the exclusions are where the Maldives normally catches people out, so read the right-hand column.

Included Not included
Breakfast in The Dining Room In-villa dining
Three-course dinner, your choice of The Dining Room, The Bar or The Island Grill Alcohol, at 15% off across all outlets
Soft drinks during meal times at applicable outlets Lunch
One international buffet a week, Thursdays in The Dining Room KOI, The Treehouse and private dining, at 30% off

You also get 30% off menu items at The Island Grill, KOI, The Treehouse, private dining and the weekly BBQ theme nights, plus 30% off minibar snacks and soft drinks. Over Christmas and New Year the resort applies a per-person credit towards the gala dinners. Ask us for the current figure when we quote.

Two rules worth knowing. Everyone on the booking has to be on the same plan for the whole stay, so you cannot put one person on Half Board Plus and another on bed and breakfast. And the benefits run from 14:00 on arrival day to 12:00 on departure day, which means lunch on your last day is charged.

The villas

Fifty villas, and only fourteen of them sit over water. If you want overwater, book early rather than hoping.

The land villas are unusually large. A Park Pool Villa runs to 180 m², which is more space than most overwater categories anywhere in the country, and the Deluxe category reaches 265 m² with a 55 m² plunge pool. Every villa gets a private deck, an outdoor garden bathroom with a bathtub and rain shower, and direct beach access with two loungers.

The Park Sunset Ocean Pool Villas add a freshwater plunge pool and a cabana over the water. That is the category we would take for a honeymoon.

Diving and the water

Blue Journeys is a PADI 5-star centre running courses through to certification, and the diving in this atoll is genuinely good rather than merely present. Mutteyfushi, the resort's own watersports island, is fifteen minutes away by boat with a five-kilometre lagoon for motorised and non-motorised sports.

There are two freshwater pools on the island, a 44-metre infinity pool and a 30-metre pool at the spa. The Vidhun Spa has five couples' treatment villas. There is a doctor on site, which matters more than it sounds when you are this far from Malé.

Who this isn't for

Short trips. Between the domestic flight, a possible stop at Kadhdhoo and the boat, you lose most of two days to travel. Five nights is the minimum that makes sense, seven if you can manage it.

Families wanting a kids club. There isn't one.

Anyone after a lively island. Two restaurants, one bar, fifty villas. That is the appeal for most guests who come here, but it is worth knowing before you arrive.

Nervous swimmers who came for the reef. The drop-off needs either a swim across the coral gardens or a jetty entry. Neither is difficult, but neither is stepping off the beach into it.
