2027 rates, on all four meal plans

Dhigufaru's 2027 contract is loaded in full: eight villa categories across bed and breakfast, half board, full board and all-inclusive, for travel from 11 January to 21 December 2027. Three nights in a Sunrise Beach Villa on bed and breakfast in green season comes to ₹2,32,200 for two people, all in from Malé. That is the cheapest way onto a Baa Atoll island we sell.

Baa Atoll at a Baa Atoll price

Dhigufaru sits in the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, the same atoll as Milaidhoo, Amilla, Anantara Kihavah and Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru — and it is a fraction of their price. Hanifaru Bay, where the manta aggregations happen between roughly June and November, is a boat ride away.

Transfers are a 40-minute seaplane, or a 20-minute domestic flight to Dharavandhoo plus a 30-minute speedboat. Which one you get depends on your arrival time at Malé: land between 06:00 and 15:30 and you fly seaplane; land later and you take the domestic route. Both cost the same, and both are inside every price below.

What this actually costs

Every figure is the total for two adults for three nights, including the villa, the meal plan, return transfers for two, green tax, the 10% service charge and 17% GST. International flights are not included. Extra nights are quotable and cheaper per night, since the transfer is already paid.

Three things worth reading off those. The two high seasons price identically — January to April and October to December are the same number, so there is no reason to prefer one on cost. Green season saves about ₹57,000 on any villa, whatever the meal plan, because the transfer and tax component is fixed. And the jump from bed and breakfast to all-inclusive is about ₹1,45,000 per couple, roughly ₹24,000 a day for two. Given Dhigufaru's all-inclusive covers drinks, that is close to what two people would spend at the bar anyway.

The meal plans, and which to take

Every plan includes the recreational facilities, the Baraveli Kids Club, welcome drink, weekly theme nights, Wi-Fi and the island host.

• Bed & breakfast — breakfast buffet at Dhandifulhu.
• Half board — adds the dinner buffet, plus 30% off the food bill at Athiri Grill and Muraka fine dining. That discount is the reason half board is usually the right call here: it opens the two à la carte rooms at a sensible price.
• Full board — adds the lunch buffet, keeps the 30% discounts.
• All-inclusive — all three buffets, afternoon tea at Raagudi Bar, unlimited draught beer, house wine, house spirits, selected cocktails, soft drinks and juices, a daily minibar restock, snorkelling gear for the stay, 45 minutes of kayaking, a one-time 30-minute sauna or steam, 20% off the spa, and on stays of three nights or more a guided house-reef snorkel and a sunset fishing trip.

Two honest notes. The same meal plan applies for the whole stay and unconsumed meals are not refunded. And no meal plan covers in-room dining — room service is charged in full.

Offers worth asking about

Dhigufaru runs several that can materially change the number, and some stack:

• Early bird — 10% off accommodation and pre-booked meals when you book 90 days ahead, 15% at 120 days. Not combinable with long stay or returning guest, but combinable with honeymoon, celebration and family offers.
• Long stay — 10 nights for the price of 9, or 14 for 12.
• Family escape — one child under 12 stays and dines free in any category; two children free in the beach villas, Semi Water Villa and Pool Beach Villa. Green tax and the child transfer still apply.
• Honeymoon — a bottle of wine and bed decoration, on a minimum four nights on half board or above, travelling within six months of the wedding. Our three-night packages above do not reach that gate, so add a night if you are celebrating.
• Birthday or anniversary — a cake, no minimum stay.
• Returning guest — 5% off the room rate.

Families

Dhigufaru is unusually good value for families. The beach villas, Semi Water Villa and Pool Beach Villa take two adults and two children, and the family escape offer can make both children free. The water villas take two adults and one child — and the resort asks a parent to sign a disclaimer for children in overwater rooms, which is worth knowing before you book one.

A Two Bedroom Family Beach Villa and the Sangu Suite also exist and are not in the grid above, because both are priced on a different occupancy basis. Ask and we will quote them.

Festive is not in the dropdown

The 22 December 2027 to 9 January 2028 window carries a four-night minimum, rising to seven nights between 27 December and 3 January, plus compulsory gala dinners — USD 299 per adult on Christmas Eve and USD 399 on New Year's Eve. None of that fits a three-night package, so it is quoted separately. Message us for festive dates and we will price it properly.

Who this isn't for

Anyone expecting the polish of its Baa Atoll neighbours. Dhigufaru is a comfortable, well-run four-star-plus island, not Milaidhoo or Kihavah, and the buffet is the centre of the food offer rather than the exception. What you are buying is the same atoll, the same water and the same Hanifaru access for around half the money.
