The India package — three nights, full board, speedboat both ways

Coco Bodu Hithi has released its India rate for stays from 16 August to 31 October 2026. It is quoted on bed and breakfast with a complimentary upgrade to full board, and it carries return speedboat transfers and green tax for two. Three nights in an Island Villa with Pool comes to ₹1,57,800 for two people, all in from Malé.

Pick your villa, then pick your length of stay. Minimum three nights; four, five and six are priced from the resort's own extension-night rate, which also carries full board and green tax.

Twenty-five minutes by speedboat, any hour

Bodu Hithi sits in North Malé Atoll, a short speedboat from Velana, and the boat runs around the clock. No seaplane, no daylight cut-off, no night lost in Malé because your flight from India landed late. Send your flight details at least a week ahead so the resort can schedule the transfer properly.

What this actually costs

Every figure is the total for two adults for the whole stay, including the villa, full board, return speedboat transfers for two, 10% service charge, 17% GST and green tax. International flights are not included.

Worth noticing: the two island villas are larger than the water villas. The Island and Beach Villas run to 188 sqm; the Water Villa with Pool is 109. If space matters more to you than waking up over the lagoon, the cheapest villa here is also one of the biggest, and it saves about ₹26,000 over three nights against the Water Villa.

All-inclusive is a supplement, not a package option — USD 60 per adult and USD 30 per child per night on top. On three nights that is about ₹37,000 for two. Ask us and we will put it in your costing.

Choose one complimentary experience

Every stay of three nights or more includes one of the following, per villa:

• Floating breakfast
• Floating lunch
• Three-course lunch at Stars Restaurant
• Three-course dinner at Stars Restaurant
• Three-course dinner at Aqua Restaurant

All five are subject to availability and must be reserved with the Front Office on arrival, not on the day. Aqua sits over the water beside the reef and is the one we would pick.

On top of that, every eligible stay carries a one-time sunset cruise (book it on arrival day), one-time use of windsurfing or a canoe, access to non-motorised watersports with life jackets, and 20% off all spa treatments.

Honeymooners: you have to choose

Coco Bodu Hithi runs a separate Enhanced Honeymoon Offer — welcome coconut water, a fruit platter and champagne, floral bed decoration, a one-time floating breakfast in the villa, 40% off a Coco Fusion massage for two, and a 30-minute professional photography session with two digital frames.

It requires a minimum four-night stay, and it cannot be combined with the package benefits above. So on this rate a honeymoon couple picks one route or the other:

• Three nights — package benefits only. The Enhanced Honeymoon Offer is not available at all.
• Four nights or more — either the package benefits, or the Enhanced Honeymoon Offer instead of them.

Tell us it is a honeymoon and we will price both and show you which is worth more for your dates. The resort needs a copy of the wedding certificate at the time of booking, or the wedding invitation if you are booking within three months of the wedding, and travel must fall within twelve months of the wedding date. The massage discount has to be claimed within 24 hours of arrival.

Anniversaries and birthdays falling inside the stay get sparkling wine and a cake, and are simpler — no minimum stay, no exclusivity.

Split stays

A 2+1 split is allowed on a three-night stay — two nights in one villa category, one in another. The resort moves your luggage; you vacate the first villa by noon and take the second from 2pm, with full use of the resort in between. Note the resort can reorder which villa comes first if it needs to.

The house reef

A natural island rather than a built one, and the reef runs right alongside the water villas and the Aqua restaurant, so you snorkel from your own steps rather than from a boat. Turtles, blacktips and rays most days, with the best water off the north side of the club villas and round the eastern side.

Honestly: there is bleaching in places and the occasional bit of debris. Ask us which villa numbers sit closest to the reef — it makes a real difference here and we will check it against your dates.

Children and extra guests

Most villas take two adults plus two children, or three adults. The Water Villa with Pool is the exception at two adults plus one infant, or two adults and one child. Rollaway beds and baby cots are on request. Extra adults and children each carry a per-night supplement — send us your party and we will price it properly.

Cancellation and payment

• Free cancellation up to 22 days before arrival.
• 21 to 8 days before arrival: 50% of the booked stay.
• 7 days or less, or a no-show: 100%.
• Early departure is charged at 100% of the booked stay and the return transfer.
• Payment in full 21 days before arrival.

Who this isn't for

Anyone who wants the newest island in the Maldives. Bodu Hithi is mature and natural rather than freshly built, and the reef shows some bleaching. If a pristine house reef is the whole point of the trip, tell us and we will name two or three islands that beat it.

It is also worth knowing the water villas are the smallest category here, not the grandest. If you are choosing overwater for the space rather than the view, look at the Escape Water Villa or take an island villa.
