The island is stunningly beautiful: crystal-clear turquoise waters, powdery white sand beaches, and lush tropical scenery. Our luxurious overwater villa exceeded all expectations – tastefully designed, immaculately clean, and with direct access to the ocean. Simply perfect. The butler service was outstanding – always attentive, professional, and discreet. Compared to other luxury resorts we've visited before, the service quality here is on an entirely different level; every single staff member was incredibly warm and welcoming. The highlight of our trip, however, was undoubtedly our butler, Laith. He is a true gentleman who consistently anticipated our needs with incredible intuition, taking care of everything before we even had to ask. He was also wonderfully attentive to our children, treating them with a gentle care that was sweet but never overbearing. Jumeirah Olhahali Island is an all-villa island in North Malé Atoll, 55 minutes from Velana by shared speedboat. The boat runs day and night, so a late flight from Delhi or Mumbai still reaches the island the same night. Every villa has its own infinity pool and a rooftop terrace.

One quirk decides which villa to pick. On four nights or more the speedboat comes free from the Lagoon Villa upwards, but not in the two water villas below it. So on a longer stay, the third villa up the list is the cheapest one on the island.

What you pay

Pick your dates, a villa and three, four or five nights, and the price is the whole stay for two: the villa, breakfast and dinner daily, the return speedboat and every tax, green tax included.

On four nights, the Lagoon Villa undercuts the Water Villa. From 27 September to 27 November, four nights in a One Bedroom Lagoon Villa with Pool are ₹658,200, against ₹697,700 in a Water Villa with Pool. That holds to 11 December. From 12 December the usual order returns.

The fourth night is the cheap one. In the Lagoon Villa it adds ₹57,500 to a three-night stay, because the free speedboat starts on that night.

What's included, and what isn't

In the price: your villa for two, breakfast and dinner daily, the return shared speedboat, one experience per stay (shisha at the Café Lounge or a 30-minute spa treatment), a US$150 resort credit for food, drink and the spa in the Water Villa and the Ocean Villa, and every Maldivian tax including green tax.

Not in the price: your international flights, travel insurance, lunch, drinks, the seaplane if you prefer it, the minibar, Indian TCS, and anything not named above.

Who this isn't for

Anyone who wants all-inclusive. Half board is the only plan on these prices. Lunch adds US$95 per adult a day, and every drink is paid on the island.

Guests set on the seaplane. It is 15 minutes against the boat's 55, but it flies in daylight only and the free transfer covers the speedboat alone. On a four-night Lagoon Villa stay, the seaplane is paid in full.

A long stay. These prices run from three to six nights. Ask us about anything longer.

Before you book

Book by 30 September 2026. The prices are for new bookings for stays up to 19 December. Names cannot be changed once booked.

Everyone must arrive and leave on the same flight for the included speedboat. Allow up to an hour at Velana for the shared boat.

Up to two children aged 12 and under stay, eat and travel free in their parents' villa, on the children's menu, outside the festive dates. Tell us if you are on honeymoon or celebrating an anniversary, because the resort's benefits for those can be added.

20 December 2026 to 8 January 2027 is not priced on this page. Those dates move to bed and breakfast, the speedboat is charged, and gala dinners on 24 and 31 December are compulsory. We can still book it. The same goes for the two-bedroom residences.

House reef 4/5 Strong

Worth choosing the resort for. One or two caveats on entry point or current.

A short reef you can cover in about an hour, and better stocked than the size of the island suggests: octopus, reef sharks, turtles, moray eels, napoleon wrasse, stingrays and giant clams all get reported. You get in on the eastern water sports side, by ladder off the jetty, and the sandy drop-off near the spa is where the rays and sharks tend to be. The other side of the island is closed to snorkellers altogether, so villa position matters. Equipment is free. The island is exposed, and rough weather can shut the water down, so ask before you plan around it.
