The Indian Package 2026, bookable to 18 December

Gili Lankanfushi's India rate covers a great deal more than a room. Half board, the return speedboat, a 30-minute spa treatment each, a photo session and green tax are all inside the number. Three nights in a Villa Suite is ₹4,09,100 for two, everything included from Malé.

Forty-five overwater villas on a single island 30 minutes from the airport, eleven of them with pools, and no seaplane to catch. Bookings close 18 December 2026.

What this actually costs

Figures are the total for two adults for the whole stay, not per night. They include the villa, half board, return shared speedboat transfers, green tax, 10% service charge and GST, plus the spa and photography inclusions below. Flights to Malé are not included.

Three things worth reading twice

• The Residence with Pool is a three-night villa. Its fourth night costs ₹3,56,600 in the green season, where every other category's fourth night is between ₹77,000 and ₹2,24,000. At three nights it sits ₹1,41,500 above the Villa Suite with Pool. At four nights that gap becomes ₹3,84,900. If you want it, take three nights and add nights elsewhere.
• Sunset Crusoe Residence and Villa Suite with Pool are the same money. ₹5,96,400 against ₹5,98,900 for three nights, and identical at five. One is a larger 250 m² residence without a pool. The other is a 266 m² villa with a 19 m² plunge pool. Pick on what you actually want, because the price will not decide it for you.
• The pool upgrade gets relatively cheaper in Q4. The two entry villas rise 33–35% from October, while everything above them rises 21–25%. So the Villa Suite with Pool costs 46% more than the plain Villa Suite in the green season, and only 36% more from October.

Not included: flights to Malé, all beverages unless stated, lunch on half board, excursions and diving. Digital copies of the photo session are extra.

How dinner actually works here

This is the part nobody explains, and it changes how you plan your evenings.

Half board gives you breakfast at Kashiveli and dinner as a USD 100 per person credit rather than a set menu. You spend it at Kashiveli, the Overwater Bar, By The Sea, Destination Dining or in your villa. Anything over the credit is charged. Theme nights at Kashiveli and the Overwater Bar are fully covered instead of credited.

Venues close on a rota, so check the night before you plan: Kashiveli is closed Wednesday and Sunday. By The Sea is closed Tuesday, Friday and Sunday. Destination Dining and in-villa dining run daily with prior booking. On Sunday, the Overwater Bar's Passage Through India tandoor night is effectively the island's dinner, which is good news if you are travelling with parents who want proper Indian food.

If you have breakfast in your villa rather than at Kashiveli, you get a USD 60 credit towards it.

Full board adds the chef's three-course lunch at the Overwater Bar, or a USD 45 per person credit if you eat elsewhere. The supplement is USD 180 per adult for three nights, USD 240 for four, USD 60 per extra night. On a three-night double that is roughly ₹37,000. Ask us and we will add it to the quote.

Bringing more than two people

The package prices two adults. Beyond that, per stay: an extra adult is USD 1,588 for three nights or USD 1,788 for four, plus USD 410 per extra night. A teenager aged 12 to 17.99 is USD 795 or USD 860, plus USD 205. A child aged 2 to 11.99 is USD 125 or USD 165, plus USD 82. Children under two are free. All package inclusions extend to extra guests, and the spa treatment applies to children over ten.

The Two-Bedroom Villa with Pool takes six adults, or four adults and four children, across 385 m² with a 32 m² pool. There are two of them on the island.

Honeymoons and anniversaries

A cake, a private candlelit dinner at Kashiveli with a bottle of house wine, a night sleeping under the stars, a welcome amenity, a departure gift and a 30-minute couple's massage that combines with the spa inclusion already in the package.

One caution. Gili's own sheet sets a tighter certificate window on these benefits than most Maldives resorts, which typically allow twelve months from the wedding. We confirm the exact terms with the resort on every honeymoon booking rather than assume, so tell us your wedding date when you enquire and we will get it in writing before you pay anything.

Which villa, honestly

Villa Suite is the entry and there are eighteen of them, so it is also the one you can actually get at short notice. 210 m², overwater, no pool.

Gili Lagoon Villa is the same 210 m² for about ₹51,000 more over three nights. You are buying the lagoon position. Five units.

The Crusoe and Residence categories step up to 250 m² and take four adults. Crusoe Residence Island View is the cheapest of them; Sunset Crusoe Residence is the one you want if evening light matters, and it costs ₹62,800 more over three nights in the green season.

Villa Suite with Pool is where most couples land. 266 m², a 19 m² plunge pool, six units. It is also the cheapest way to get the floating breakfast, which only pool categories receive.

Residence with Pool is 374 m² with a 24 m² pool and full butler service, and there are two of them. Read the three-night note above before you book four.

The house reef, without the gloss

Average by Maldives standards, and the resort does not really trade on it. The coral is largely bleached and the best snorkelling is on the excursions rather than off your steps. There is a drop-off at around fifteen metres off the reef edge with coral walls, small sharks, turtles and rays, and the stretch between the two palm islets is the best of it.

The jetties differ. Guests report one is a short swim from the reef, while another is shallow and safer with children, with rays and sharks visible from the shore. Ask us and we will check which jetty your villa sits on before you commit. Visibility is best in the middle of the day.

The Eco Centre runs active coral restoration and a resident marine biologist takes guided snorkels. That is the honest version of the reef here: a serious restoration project rather than a finished one.

Cancellation, which matters at this price

For the villa and residence categories on stays between 5 January and 22 December 2026: cancel between 30 and 21 days before arrival and you lose 50%. Inside 21 days it is 100%.

The Two-Bedroom Villa with Pool is stricter: 50% between 45 and 30 days, 100% inside 30 days. Buy travel insurance, and buy it when you book, not later.

Who this isn't for

If the house reef is the point of your trip, this is not the island. Two neighbours in North Malé and several in Baa will serve you better in the water.

If you want an all-inclusive with a wristband, this is half board with drinks charged per consumption, and at Gili's prices that adds up quickly. And if you want a beach villa, there isn't one. Every villa here is over the water.

Not in this package

Three categories sit outside the grid above. The Gili Lagoon Residence and the Sunset Two-Bedroom Villa are single-unit categories whose published three-night rates do not reconcile with their four-night rates, so we are confirming them with the resort rather than quoting a figure we cannot stand behind. The Private Reserve is a four-bedroom, 1,700 m² house for up to ten adults with its own 63 m² pool, and it needs pricing as a whole-house booking rather than per couple.

Getting there

A 30-minute speedboat from Velana International Airport, available around the clock. No seaplane, no daylight cut-off, no night stranded in Malé because your flight landed late. For anyone flying the late-evening routes out of Delhi, Mumbai or Bengaluru, that is worth more than it sounds.
