What Our Guests Say

Rated Travellers' Choice on TripAdvisor

A Perfect Stay in Paradise

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. The room was in perfect condition, and the beautiful ocean views made the entire experience unforgettable. Every restaurant we visited served delicious food, and we were impressed by the consistently high quality throughout the resort. A special thank you to Joseph, who recommended some excellent wines that we truly enjoyed. His thoughtful service made our dining experiences even more memorable. Everything about our stay was exceptional, and we would love to return someday.

Emerald

Apekcha — thank you so much for everything during our one-week stay. Everything about the Maldives was absolutely wonderful, and I'm sure it will remain one of the most unforgettable memories of my life and my wife's. Just like the countless stars that shine over the Maldives, I hope your life is always filled with happiness, good health, and good fortune. Thank you sincerely for your kindness and hospitality. We will never forget it.

Emerald is an emerald

The island is small, there's plenty of staff. We were surrounded by care and attention. The chef was not cooking personal dishes from the menu. Although the à la carte restaurant menu is great. But my wife wanted truffle pasta — no problem, said the chef! We were thrilled. Rooms are cleaned several times a day. We were given a tour of the offices and kitchen and saw first-hand how it works. Butler Daria, thank you very much — you don't always see that kind of care from relatives. Thanks to her, we upgraded our rooms, she booked us into all the restaurants, yoga and field trips, and kept track of our schedule. Even got a yoga mat and brought it to the villa. The island is very green and comfortable — bikes help you move even from the farthest water villa.

What this actually costs

Pick your villa and your travel dates from the two dropdowns above and the price updates to that combination. Every figure is per villa, two adults sharing, four nights on Deluxe All-Inclusive, with return seaplane transfers and green tax included. All applicable taxes are already inside it. Nothing is added at check-out.

Three of the seven options are split stays — two nights in one villa, two in another. On this island that is the sensible way to try the Sunset Water Villa with Pool without paying for four nights of the most expensive room. The resort reserves the right to swap the order of a split stay to suit availability, without notice.

One quirk worth reading before you choose. In November and December the Beach Villa is the cheapest room on the island by a clear margin, while the Water Villa with Pool jumps above three other categories. In July and August all three of the entry categories price identically. The seasons do not move together here, so the dropdown is worth playing with rather than assuming the cheapest villa in one month is the cheapest in another.

Base occupancy is two adults, and the one-bedroom villas take up to two adults and two children, or three adults and one child. One child aged 2 to 13.99 sharing with parents in a one-bedroom villa is free on accommodation, though green tax and the seaplane are still payable for them; a second child is chargeable, and in the two-bedroom villas no child is free. Stays shorter than four nights, extra nights, and any villa combination not listed above price at the extra nightly rate plus the seaplane. Ask us and we will put the current numbers inside your costing.

Two things to plan around. Full payment is due at least ten days before arrival, and cancellation inside ten days of arrival forfeits 100% — tighter than most, so buy the insurance. The package is for the Indian market, applies to new bookings only, and the resort can revoke or modify it at any time; bookings already confirmed stay confirmed.

What this package includes

The Deluxe All-Inclusive section above is the resort's standard. The package sits on top of it, and the difference that matters on a four-night stay is the excursion.

  • One excursion is included — the Dolphin Tour or sunset fishing. On the standard all-inclusive an excursion needs a seven-night stay, so at four nights this is a real addition rather than a repackaged one.
  • Unlimited dine-around at dinner — The Carnivorous for Brazilian churrasco, Le Asiatique for Asian, The Mediterraneo over the water, all à la carte, or the AQUA buffet. Not one speciality night out of four. Every night.

The rest of what the package carries:

  • A welcome drink on arrival, and daily breakfast at AQUA — the main buffet, with several food options and cooking stations
  • Lunch either à la carte at Beach Club Grill or at the AQUA buffet
  • Vegetarian buffet and Indian menu options at AQUA. Worth being precise about: at Faarufushi these are at the buffet restaurant, not across every venue. If Indian food every night matters to you, that shapes where you eat
  • A selection of non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, plus tea, coffee, soft drinks, juices and water through the day at every outlet
  • In-room minibar replenished daily with beer, wine, soft drinks, water and snacks
  • Guided group snorkelling, 20 minutes, twice a week
  • Non-motorised water sports — kayak, pedalboards, windsurfing
  • Snorkelling equipment, and Wi-Fi in the villas and public areas
  • Fitness centre and the infinity pool
  • The Dolphin Kids Club, with its own activities and mini pool
  • Padel and tennis during the day

Dining & Bars

  • Aqua Restaurant — International buffet · Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner · 07:30–10:30 / 12:30–14:30 / 19:30–21:30
  • Beach Club Grill — Grilled seafood, meat, pizza, salads & pasta · Lunch à la carte · 12:30–15:00
  • Carnivorous Restaurant — Brazilian Churrasco & Peruvian · Dinner à la carte · 19:00–22:00

House reef 4/5 Strong

Worth choosing the resort for. One or two caveats on entry point or current.

Faarufushi solves the problem most islands do not: a jetty runs out to the reef edge, so you walk to the drop-off instead of swimming over shallow coral to reach it. Coral has regenerated well and there is serious fish life, including sharks, eagle rays, octopus and turtles. Water villas have direct access too. The currents that keep the reef healthy are strong at the edge, so check with the dive team each morning rather than assuming yesterday conditions.
