Two things set the cost here before you pick a villa: when you go, and how you fly in. Travel to 30 September and the resort takes 20% off the villa and moves you to half board for nothing. Fly via Maafaru rather than the seaplane and a week for two drops by up to ₹144,000.
Get both right and the same villa costs 31% less than the same week in October. Noonu Atoll, 45 minutes by seaplane, every villa with its own pool.
What this actually costs
The price above covers the villa at its base occupancy, the return transfer for everyone in it, green tax and every other tax. Summer dates carry the 20% and include half board; from 1 October it is bed and breakfast at the full rate. Four nights minimum.
- 1 October is the biggest seasonal step we sell. Five nights in the entry water villa go from ₹1,278,100 to ₹1,772,000, 39% more, and part of that is the seaplane fare rising. If your dates flex at all, finish the trip in September.
- Children are genuinely free. Two under twelve stay and eat at no charge in a one or two bedroom villa, four in a three bedroom, all year, on top of every other offer. Seven nights half board in the water villa costs ₹115,000 for the two of them, and that is green tax and plane seats.
- Soneva Unlimited is about ₹1,800,000 more for two over a week. It buys every drink, unlimited spa and unlimited experiences including diving. It pays on a heavy drinking and spa week and not otherwise.
Not on the dropdown: 10% off if you book 60 days ahead for October to December, and 30% off fifteen nights or more. Both turn on when you book rather than when you travel, so send us your dates.
Who this isn’t for
Anyone who wants to snorkel off their own deck. The lagoon is the largest in the country and the villas sit over sand on purpose, so there is no reef at your steps. The house reef is a short boat ride, free and daily, and the coral out there is healthy. Guests who came to snorkel still say so bluntly.
Anyone landing in Malé after dusk who will not take Maafaru, because the seaplane flies in daylight only. And anyone counting carefully: this is the most expensive island we sell.
Before you book
- Free cancellation to 30 days before arrival, payment due at that point. Inside 30 days it is 100% of the stay, no-shows and early departures included.
- Seaplane seats are confirmed only the day before arrival, baggage is 20 kg checked and 5 kg hand, and the last flight out leaves between 16:00 and 17:00. A late flight home means Maafaru or a night in Malé.
- Everyone in a villa must take the same meal plan. In-villa dining sits outside half and full board; eat off-plan and you get USD 125 per adult at lunch, USD 250 at dinner, towards the bill.
- 21 December to 11 January is priced by hand: seven nights minimum, no check-out on 31 December or 1 January, compulsory gala dinners.
