Fifty villas on a small island in North Malé Atoll, an hour by speedboat, every one 105 m² with a private pool. You are buying position, not space.
Which makes the useful fact here a backwards one: the Overwater Pool Villa is the cheapest room on the island, ₹36,300 below the Beach Pool Villa over three nights. There are five of them, so availability decides it, not budget.
What this actually costs
Pick a villa and a package above and the price covers two adults for the whole stay: the villa and its pool, full board, the return shared speedboat and the green tax. Flights to Malé are extra. Minimum stay three nights.
- Both offers include a free upgrade from bed and breakfast to full board, and that is worth more than the headline discount. Bought outright the plan is USD 150 per adult per night. On four nights for two, that is USD 1,200 of lunches and dinners on an island you cannot leave.
- The 40% window is short and it is the value. Stays to 31 October carry 40% off; from 1 November it is 30%, and the underlying rate rises too. Three nights in an Overwater Pool Villa goes from ₹197,800 in September to ₹251,500 in November. Same villa, ₹53,700 apart, six weeks later.
- Length of stay pays. About ₹88,500 of every price is the speedboat, paid once however long you stay. Each night beyond the fourth adds ₹36,400, and seven nights works out 26% cheaper per night than three.
Not on the dropdown: 27 December 2026 to 5 January 2027 is blacked out of both offers, so we quote those dates by hand at the standard rate.
Who this isn’t for
Families of four, unless you take two villas. No villa here holds two children. Every category caps at three adults, or two adults and one child. Settle that before anything else.
Anyone who wants a big island and a long list of restaurants. Kagi is small, and the included meals run through one place.
Anyone travelling over the festive fortnight. The galas are compulsory, USD 190 per adult on Christmas Eve and USD 310 on New Year's Eve, and the resort will not accept a booking that departs on 31 December. An hour on a boat is also an hour on a boat: if someone gets seasick, budget for the seaplane.
Before you book
- Booking closes 30 September 2026, but stays run to 30 April 2027. Book now for April and you still get the discount. That is the unusual part of this one.
- The boat is the quiet advantage. The last speedboat from Velana runs as late as 02:00 and the last one back leaves the island at 19:00, so a red-eye out of Delhi does not cost you a night in Malé. A seaplane is USD 450 per adult return against USD 430 for the boat, and flies in daylight only.
- Green tax is USD 12 per person per night and the discount does not apply to it. A third adult is USD 326 a night, a child 2 to 11.99 USD 173, both with the meal plan. Only part of the house reef is open to snorkellers, and the shallows cut feet.
